San Francisco???
Hey guys...
I've been to San Francisco a few times when I was younger and I've visited all the tourist places (Gardens, bridges, Fisherman's, Alcatraz, chinatown etc...)
I'm planning on heading up there this weekend...
Now that my friends and I are well in college....do you locals have any good ideas on where to hang out?? clubs, cafes, restaurants, bars what's good in Frisco nite life?? We're all pretty open minded and wouldn't mind experiencing the current hotspots.
I have a few folks that have never been to the Bay Area so I want to show how awesome the city is.
Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Within the downtown vicinity...
Cheesecake Factory on top of Macy's building between Union Square and O'Farrell St (entrances)... Ruby Skye a couple of blocks away (Mason)... the Mitchell Brothers O'Farrell Theatre always shows GREAT movies...
LOL
Try the Sony Metreon building... kinda played out for us locals, but might be interesting for visiting folk...

If you have Sunday afternoon free we're having a Z run up Mt. Diablo in the East bay area. Here's the link

you could always do the 49mile scenic drive. There are 49 mile scenic drive signs posted all over the city. It'll take you through all the site seeing places in SF. Probably some thing you want to do during daytime.
Some nice night views are Coit tower, twin peak, Treasure Island, and of course Golden gate bridge (if it's not too foggy).
Restaurant wize, checkout Cha Cha Cha (great food and nice atmosphere) For the more high end steak place, check out Mortons, Ruth Chris' steak house, or House of Prime Ribs. There is always the famous Aqua (supposely pretty good, never been there myself) and the original Crustacean.
As far as night life goes, there are plenty of night clubs and strip clubs around.... haven't been to any lately, so couldn't really comment on it.
For a night cap, you can always go to Equonox (sp?)
Well, like zwindsor said, if you're around on Sunday, we are doing a run up Mt. Diablo. Come join us!! A great way to experience what NorCal is famous for (lots of nice twisties

Thanks for the suggestions guys....now I got a handful of ideas.
As far as the Mt. Diablo run....I wish I could do that..but with so many people coming up and the "road trip" econo car I don't think that'll be possible.
However, don't be surprised if we swing by the East Bay Fuddruckers to catch the Z's , grab a bite, take photos and tag along for a few miles!
