Going Drag racing on Saturday in Sacramento wanted to see if anyone wanted to come through with my group. We will be leaving Almaden in San Jose at around 1pm.

 

Definitely will be fun and would consider it, minus the fact that we are headed to ALMS at Laguna Seca instead.

It was more like a "really?" kinda question. Historically I've only seen domestic cars there for grudge night. I remember going there with both my Camaros before and if imports (other than AMGs) showed up and try to drag they would get hassled till they left.


Either way, I might be there but to watch 2 guys that are talking smack to each other do an all out race with their Camaros. There is so much money going down on both sides, I haven't decided where to throw my $50 in. Im not sure If Im taking the Z since I don't want to get keyed or anything like that. I'll keep an eye out for you guys and if you guys run decent times I will record it.

 

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying. Sure, there are lots of domestic cars on Saturdays at Sac, but there are lots of imports, too. I've been many times and never been "hassled", nor have ever heard of others in Zs getting hassled. I do enjoy beating down a few doms though.

 

ya been there several times never been hassled everybody seems cool to me. my z doesnt sound like a rice rocket(not saying your does) but i have never gotten anything but respect from muscle car owners. and like scotts said neither would i hesitate to beat down if needed. you can come say whats up if you see me there man.

 

Its been about 2 years since I have been there. I just remember seeing some things go down with the corvette/camaro owners doing some things to the import crowd to get them out of there and get a few more runs themselves. It was mostly the Honda guys that got f'd with. For sure I will come up and say hi to you guys if i see you.

BTW, it is Grudge Night at Sac Raceway that day right?

 

beats me man i hope not. i want to get some runs in. last time i went with my z i only got one run cause i had to bounce early for a party.

 

lol man i wish i could go test out the beast, but saturday is my sister's wedding, so it's a no go for me. dude when you called me the other day and left me a voicemail, your voice was hella deep and different, were you trying to whisper or something?
