Angry Slick, but not that slick

I just couldn't believe what cops would do just to pull people over. So i was going home from the gym (Normal driving under the speed limit), and was at a red light. I was basically at the fast lane with a car in front of me. So i see this cop pulled out of nowhere and got right next to me in a left turning lane. I noticed the cop was looking at his right side view mirror eyeballing my car. And at that point, I already had a hunch that he was going to pull me over. So my light turns green, the car in front of me takes off. And long and behold, the cop was trying to make a pass to try to get behind me because i could see him inching forward. Since the road was fairly packed, the cop couldn't make the pass to get behind me. And therefore, he gave up. It really pisses me off that they have nothing better to do other than pulling car enthusiasts over for no apparent reason. Are they really that desperate to pull people over just to make a quick revenue for the city? Well, I guess so.....

I'm confident if he wanted to pull you over, even in traffic, he would have. The only way I've been 'saved' from situations like this before, and it has happened twice, is if they get called to a more important scene.

I hope you were just kidding.......... I understand the frustration, but there is nothing we can do at that moment to get out of it, unless the cop was cool, and just wanted to check out your ride. Otherwise, just do what the cop tells you to do.

cops are always doing sketchy highly illegal maneuvers. i saw one almost hit a girl on a bike last week because he went straight through a stop sign.

Yeah there's good and bad ones definitely. Once you are pulled over though, no sense in talking smack to them, can only make it worse. A cop that was an ahole enough in the first place to pull you over for no better reason than you driving a tuned car is not going to somehow become enlightened by you talking back to him and say "you know, you are right, sorry, have a nice day". More likely he'll give u the proverbial "f u too" in the form of a big ticket

I know I'll probably get flamed for it, but best idea is simply to start befriending some cops and drop some names in a friendly manner. And don't believe what they say about them not being able to take back a ticket once they wrote it. I had one rip one back out of my hands when I mentioned an old friend of his that was one of my uncles.

Actually, you tell no lie, so you shouldn't be flamed. It's giving consideration, but also it's secondly knowing somebody, both help. I'll just say I know that too.

i got pulled over a few days ago on 880 right after the Raiders game so i was stuck in stop and go traffic. I don't know how the cop caught up to me in traffic like that but he did and pulled me over and popped my hood. Ended up getting a no front plate ticket. So if he wanted to pull you over he would have done so. I doubt that was his main intention, he probably just wanted to get ahead of the traffic.

I rev'd my engine at a chick cop the other day... even launched my car a bit when we were side by side at a red light, and slowed down at 35 (speed limit)... she didn't do anything. ;D

So long as you don't do anything really stupid then don't worry about city cops and fix it tickets. They're easy to get out of.

Im military police and if someone told me to go catch someone and not write them a ticket... It would take me at least 20 minutes to write it... I would search the car, because I can thre i a sign on post that says "all vehicles subject to search at any time" I would find EVEYTHING wrong with the car, just because the person in the car decided to be less then nice...

On the other hand... I have no front plate, windows that shouldn't be tinted, tinted... Subs in my trunk that I love to listen to.... So I understandthe anger drivers get for being pulled over for no reason...

I went to Colorado last week and got pulled over for 89MPH in a 65... I talked my way out of it... Showed her MIlitary ID and my police badge and she let me go... Think she felt bad for me, trying to get the crap out of the glove box and wrestle my puppy back into the car at the same time... LOL

Imagine how I felt the last 5 years living 2 blocks away from Fremont Police station... If I had a dollar for all the times they pulled up behind me I could pay my registration for a year(depending how much Arnold raises it). Now that I moved I don't have to worry about driving by the station anymore. The cool thing is I very rarely get pulled over and when I do its because i was doing something wrong.

Its a catch 22... We sometimes have to pay to play, not saying its okay but its the nature of their game. Play it cool and things will be fine in the end. I would rather get fined than my car towed for resorting to juvenile arguing and name calling with an officer of the law.

Fremont PoPos pulled me over (in the 300) - said my car was "too loud" (yet it passes the dB test). He also said my SIDE tint (the illegal stuff) was FINE. Then gave me grief about my cleared tailights. He must be too used to those clear ones on Honduhs, as mine have a Nissan stamp on them. I showed it to him and he let it go. I did have to pay the modified exhaust ticket. It was that or get it reffed to win, and I didn't want them checking out the rest of my goodies!
