Isn't front plate a fixing ticket? I can understand the CAI. But $401 for that crap?? That's garbage....

If the cop checks Non-correctable, I don't think you can get out of it. Keep us updated.

If the cop checks non-correctable, but it in fact IS correctable, he is in the wrong, you can correct it, get it signed off, and show the judge proof. Judges know the law better than cops. There are some cool-*** judges out there. My $700 overdue fix-it-ticket got dropped to $60 bux once

I just talked to the rep. She told me that the CVC 271... requires me to see them test the emissions of the car. I'm thinking that since both are correctable (thats what the ticket states), I'll just install my OEM air box back in, get the front plate signed off, and see the judge.

Actually if the ticket is checked as not correctable and indeed it is correctable, the ticket can be dismissed in court due to the error. I had 2 tickets thrown out. 1 had the penal code and description that did not match and 1 that was for front plate not correctable. The front plate one the judge just asked me if i put it on and took my word for it before dismissing it.

Try your luck with the judge and if he does not budge just ask for an extension. Most judges will give you an extension.

See the state ref to get that cool silver "State Ref Sticker", so you can put that in your engine bay if a cop decideds to pop open your hood again.

Can somebody tell me why the hell having an air filter mounted behind the grill is illegal?

A Stillen SC'er is legal but not a filter and long intake tube?? LOL CA phails.

So the dudes with the snorkel intake tubes sticking out of the front fenders on their 4x4's are illegal as well?

Cali fails so hard. How are all the performance shops out there still in business?
