Angry Falore Nissan - Just another disappointing dealership?!

So I had the axle click and figured if I was going to have someone work on my car, I might as well get them to do a few things while the Z is in there.

It was a 60k service (at 54k) and I asked Nick if I could supply my own oil (Castrol Synthetic), oil filter (K&N) and air filter (Injen). He said sure and gave me a few bucks off. I told him the stuff would be in the trunk and that I would be dropping the car off in the morning. Other things I was having done was changing the diff oil and tranny oil.

When I picked up the car, my dirty injen air filter was in the trunk and my oil and filter were gone, so I figured they found the stuff ok.

Well today was time for another oil change and what I found was my Injen filter was dinged up pretty bad (still usable, just manhandled). More bothersome was that my K&N oil filter was nowhere to be found, just a standard Nissan filter.

So now I am left wondering what else did or didn't they do. Did they use my synthetic oil or their dino oil? Did they bother changing the oil in the trans and diff? Do I have to do that myself now to be sure it is done?

Now where do I take my two Nissans? Seriously...

Chris

Sorry to hear that Chris. Honestly, i really don't trust any dealerships other than Zcargarage to have my car worked on. Heard way too many horror stories about the dealerships in the Bay Area. Zcar is the place to go...

Not only are they all crooks but they also seem to employ a bunch of idiots. If you do know a reputable place that's great but they're definitely few and far between.

That's why I do almost everything myself. Sometimes, I really want to just pay someone to do it because I've got a full time job, home to upkeep, and family to spend time with. But, after some painful lessons, I decided to tackle nearly all repairs and maintenance work on the car.

Invest in good tools, good jacks/jack stands, be patient, and read the instructions carefully, then re-read them. In the end, you should end up with a better end product. Having diligence and patience is the hardest thing to acquire though.

Dude Falore, Fremont, SC, all suck, definitely stay away from them. Boardwalk is good, but as others have mentioned ZCG is the best if you want to make sure your car is in safe hands.
