Bay Area Z Association is kicking off 2009 with a meet that we're actually thinking through and bothering to post up on more than one forum!

This won't be anything too big, but we'd love to invite our Z brethren to join us and help make this meet great.

Saturday the 21st

1:00pm

We will be Having lunch at the Famous Alice's Restaurant at the Four Corners in Woodside. On the corner of Woodside Rd hwy 84 & Skyline Blvd hwy 35 a 50-60 mile cruise will take place after lunch.

Following the cruise we will make a short drive to Heidi's Pies and get some delicious Blueberry Sour Cream pie. There is no other pie you should order because that is the greatest pie in existence.

Nice roads.... I've done 35 > 84 > pescadero .... Hope my car is ready... hit a damn dead animal on 280 and my front fender is ****ed up... trying to get a decent one now...

 

i may be down to its been awhile since I have been to a good meet and I have the day off that day.

 

i may come through sounds like fun and i have the day off lets get a group together for that day who is down.

 

I am going to try planing on this as well, hopefully the weather will cooperate.

some updates

for east bay, some of us are going to meet up together before driving across i think. I'm departing from Newark and so are a few others, however that is a little bit south for you if you're coming from walnut creek. If you don't mind coming down to newark, we will be most likely meeting at either Ravi's house or the Jack in the Box on Ardenwood and Decoto/Dumbarton 84. at 12:00 noon this is still tentative.

If you want to meet us on the peninsula side. Then we will make a quick stop in Redwood City on Woodside Rd and Kentfield. at the 76 station across the street from the Jack In The Box. That station has 100 octane at the pump and we will fuel up there if necessary. Arrival and stay at this location is subject to when we arrive. Most likely we will arrive there around 12:30 from there we will head to Alice's for lunch and we will then continue the cruise.

Route specifics will be discussed at the meet or through private message. I do not wish to publish the full agenda.

Updated Plan:

12:30PM: Meet in a parking lot near Highway 280/84- Parking lot is just west of Highway 280. Exit Woodside Rd., turn west, parking lot is on the left. I'm not sure how many available spots there are going to be here so we may have to assemble out on the road but we will definitely have at least a couple people in the lot so you have someone to find and then we can figure it out from there.

1:00-1:15PM: Depart from parking lot and cruise up to Four Corners.

1:30PM-2:45ish: Eat and hang out at Alice's Restaraunt, maybe spend some time in the parking lot with the cars depending on the weather.

3:00PM-4:30PM: Cruise, route will be discussed at the meet, maps may be provided. Then head down Highway 92 to a local diner that has great pie for dessert.


I will be leading a caravan from the East bay from the Jack In The Box in Fremont off of Ardenwood and Decoto at 12 noon to head over to the 100 octane station in redwood city then to the meet point.

suppose to rain, but i would still go if it wasnt for work. If there is another gathering in the same area I am way down. Used to ride the roads up there on the motorcycle and driving them is just as fun.

 

This was a lot of fun. Some scary twisties.
