Unhappy My Z saved my life

Hi Guys,
Its really hurts to say but my Z went off the road last night but saved me from any injury.

It happened at the intersection of Northgate Blvd and Arden way.

After starting from red light on the Arden to the bridge, my Z went out of control on a turn and skid off the road into the ditch.

There is no damage to the body but the rear axel is badly damaged.

I need to give it to a repair center tomorrow, any suggestions will help:

I am with Geico and I have to choose between these:

BODY CRAFT SACRAMENTO
5613 AUBURN BLVD, SACRAMENTO, CA 95841

#

SHANAHAN AUTOBODY
6211 POWER INN RD, SACRAMENTO, CA 95824

KNIESEL'S AUTO BODY
4680 PACIFIC ST, ROCKLIN, CA 95677

#

MIKES AUTOBODY PITTSBG
3001 N PARK BLVD, PITTSBURG, CA 94565

Please guys let me know which one I should go with, thanks for your help in advance....

And driver safely and pray for my Z

Sorry to hear that. I'm not sure that you HAVE to go with any of those to get the work done though. Perhaps for an estimate of repair costs, but then you could probably choose wherever you'd like for the work to be done. I'm no expert in this area though, hopefully other forum members will chime in on the insurance process legalities.

Really? All by itself? Wow. I better go have a talk with my Z and her behaviour before she just gets a wild hair up her *** and decides to "go out of control".

Going on memory, but the name KNIESEL'S rings a bell and it wasn't a bad thing.
Never used them so can't personally say much more.

Umm...yea. Roads are slick as snot when wet and hasn't rain for awhile.
Glad your ok. G/L with repairs.

Glad to hear that you're ok. I have a feeling that the insurance might total the car. If you don't mind, could you elaborate in detail how your car lost control?

Unhappy thanks for the help guys

To elaborate:
- It was raining
- Road was slick - first rain lots of oil on the road
- Speed under 15 MPH (car was still in 1st gear)
- As told by the towing people/cops - this turn is notorious for accidents
- I am not as experienced drivers as you guys are .. but same situation
happened with me in grand canyon due to ice but I was able to control the
car
- As told by cops/towing they have seen lot worse here
- No citations by the cops
- No property damage except for my car

They say these cars have "most of the times" too much power at rear wheels and stupid drivers in the front and I agree I am stupid driver so thanks for telling me that i accept that. I am taking the full blame as its my cool ride that got into accident... and to be honest I think no one wants that to happen but .... **** happens and can happen even to Michel Shumaker.. which I am not even close to, so I should be more careful......

And when i said car lost control..trust me friends it can happen.... i agree if i was at 5 mph surely i would have just skidded....

Anyways i know its my car and I should be more responsible which i will be...
will update you all about the service and the bodyshop experience

Thanks again for the comments and help ...
still please drive save

I cant wait to get his opinion.. btw was he driving with me when the accident happened hmm.......

Seriously guys if you work/study in collision research analysis they need a lot of help as they are designing cars, specially for morons like me and they need a lot of help to design a car that will never ever slip...

LOL... There is no need for any of us to be in the Z with you. Remember we all drive or have driven a Z and we all know that 15 MPH is not going to cause us to fly off the road and cause all that damage.

On the "first rain & oil" thing... Come on dude, who are you trying to kid? Its not the first rain of the season and your roads have flushed most of the oils out by now. I would be more inclined to believe you if you told me it was cold in Sacramento and there was ice on the road. Here in Fremont & Union City there are 3 spots that are notorious for spin outs and I have never once lost control going around those incline bends @ 15-25 MPH in the rain even before I upgraded my suspension or in cars with more HP/TQ. You should hit up a few auto cross courses to get a better feel for what your car can and cannot do.

Now so you dont think Im a d!ck (I just want the truth, not trying to be too much of a d!ck) I will offer you some advice on your choice of shops. Your inssurance can only advise you as to what shops they would perffer you to go to (they get price breaks through those and cut special deals with them). You can chose any shop you want as long as they except your inssurance company.

Best of luck to you and hope your inssurance doesnt go through the roof.

I'm sure you could spin out at 15mph... but it would be hard to lose control at that speed. You'd have to totally mash the gas, or once it starts fishtailing.... add more gas?

Here's my words of advice... when your car starts oversteering LET OFF THE GAS.

Naw... there would have to be ice or a nasty amount of oil to get that to happen. If you don't believe me go down Thorton and make a right onto Paseo Padre and take that @ 15 mph. If you need a better challenge take the 880 South exit Alvarado by Union Landing and take a left @ 15 mph and it wont happen...

as again thanks for your advice and concern, i whole heartedly accept all advices....

as for flying off ... to correct ... it slid spinned once and then straight off the road without spinning without rolling off......

if it wasnt oil/rain on road it wouldn't have slipped and for sure rolled over if turn was taken at higher speed on a non slippery road ....

here are some pics of the road after the accident
