Alright guys, here's latest info on the dates up in the air at this time posted by "itz Smokin".the coordinator. It's Post #83 on the "[Bay Area]: SYTFU 4 YEAR BBQ!, MARCH 21st 2009 @ Alameda Naval Base" thread at 10:28am today.

alright guys i'm sorry if it causes any more incovience, but April 18th is conflicting with alot of things. There is BT Dyno day and also a huge EVO meet. We are working on to confirm a new date. If you guys have any suggesting, please let me know

The dates we have in mind are 4/11, 5/2, 5/16, 5/23

Again, sorry for all the inconvience. We are working really hard to bring you a great meet.

^^^^Warren, I sure haven't seen you for a long time. It would be wonderful to finally chat with you again. unfortunately, If the event is held on the 11th, I most likely wont be able to make it because i have to work that weekend. I would suggest to give us a little more time. Perhaps May 2, would be a good date.

 

I will go for the May 2nd, as I agree with the problem of the 11th due to UFC Fights I'm going to that day. I have tickets for my spouse and me and 8 more people to the UFC fights evening of the 11th, so it's a tight fit for me. Any other weekend is good. I hope they decide soon though, so it can be planned out. 11th, I'll go up with our group here as planned, then stay for the fights and come back on my own that night if it's the 11th. More fun to be in a group run. I guess we'll just have to wait and see once.

 

Here's the latest, there's going to be a vote on the main thread. I voted for May 2nd as did everybody else, except for one "no vote". So we should plan on May 2nd as a good chance of being the new date at this time.

 

Okay, well, they picked the only day I can't go.... April 11th, as well as some of my friends. Have to work that day.
So now somebody else will have to do the coordinating, as I'm out. Sorry guys. The one day I have to work, and won't be off till 2:00pm.
I even cleaned my car, waxed it, new NISMO mats, waxed under the hood, under the rear hatched, blackened the tires, front lip, just to get it in a sun glazing look. And now I can't even make it. Off all the dates, that was the one bad one.

 

Well Vince, looks like it'll be a while longer. They picked 4/11, which means I won't make it after all. I'm working till afternoon, so I and four more cars are now out of it. Maybe next time.

Yeah, i can't make it as well. I also have to work that same weekend. What i just don't understand is that the event has to take place on the day that we all said that we couldn't make it, as if the organizer didn't even listen to us. Don't ask us to pick a date if they had already chosen one. Its pointless, and i am kind of ticked off...... Maybe next time Warren. Perhaps on the next Salinas run???
