Default Thunderhill Track Day, Friday 6/19 - need more Zs!

Hey all,
It seems there are NO other Zs signed up for this event with Unlimited Laps yet. Anyone care to join?

http://www.unlimitedlaps.com/eventdetails/20090619.html

This is a steal at $195 which includes snacks and lunch. After June 5th, the price will return to the original (and still fairly priced) $245. If we get enough people, they may offer a group discount, so let me know if you plan to sign up before Friday.

This is the last day to sign up for $195.
I'm still the only Z - how sad!

I would like to have made this, but the timing is off. I always have to plan way ahead, and I'm leaving the country with a couple of weeks for a month, but post the next time one comes up. It sounds like a lot of fun to drive, relax, meet others, and just a out right relaxing day of fun. The $195 price is definitely an excellent price for such a deal also by the way. I will definitely be interested in the next one that comes up. Would be nice to see what the S/C would do in a safe atmosphere. I would think "Rob" at ZCargarage would be a perfect garage to get the "Tech Inspection done" also.

Yup, ZCG handles my pre and post-track inspections, as well as the maintenance on the new track car.

Damn! Just passed the deadline. I never heard unlimited laps, however, I was seriously planning to go on 06/21, with NCRC which is only $125. Possibly back to $195 if I can get more ppl in? lol, always love to see more Z on track!!

I bet they would honor the $195 if we brought a few more, as I know they want to fill the event. I've driven with UL a few times, they run fun, safe, events.

I liked NCRC also, and their price is always good. One thing to note in your comparison:
UL (and a lot of others) include lunch, drinks, snacks, etc., NCRC does not.
UL (and only a FEW others) run just 3 run groups, so you get 165 minutes on-track, so that's $1.18/minute of track time (still including food)
NCRC and most others run 4 groups at most events - sometimes five! Last time I ran 4 groups with NCRC we had five 20 minutes sessions, which is typical. So that's typically 100 minutes of track time, or $1.25/minute as comparison.

If I'm going to go through all the effort, I like to maximize my track time, although the reality is that I can justify a track event with any logic.

Wow! You actually did the math. The thing is, i might want to do the thunderdrift on sat. And Friday is always hard to take off. Either Friday track, sat. drift, or sat. drift, sun. track. I really want to try out my new os giken LSD and 4.08 final gear!!

I know the feeling. I've just recovered from an August wedding. This is only my 4th event since then (two at Seca, two at Thill).

An R34 would definitely be fun to chase around...

I hope that guy is a good driver cuz he might as well be wearing a bullseye.

Agreed. On track with an R35 would be just as fun. Might not matter if he's not a good driver with all that computer driving going on tho. Prolly be tough to catch.
