Default Cant find answer..

I need some help. I have called every dealership around and searched several forums but cannot find a definite answer. Will a 07 catback fit on an 03 catback? that is the main question. The story behind it is a long up, needless to say I got ripped off by a dealership and now I need to find a stock exhaust for my 03. The only one I can find is for an 07. Any help will be extremely helpfull. Again, thanks for the look.

I would go to a dealer website and check the part number for an '03 and '07 exhaust. if they're the same, yes they will fit. If the're different, it probably wouldn't fit. Try Performance Nissan's parts website in Duarte, CA.

I called the dealer already and they gave two seperate part numbers. I asked if that had anything to do with fitment and they proceeded to say we cant say. We only go by part numbers and not if it actually works or not. I asked if they may have just changed the part number simply for stocking or ordering reasons and they said it was possible. No help from them what so ever..

I just thought you were ignoring the info I gave you

I will sum up what I deleted...

03-08 exhausts are interchangeable from the cats back.

The Y pipe from an 07-08 is an upgrade to the one that your Z came stock with.

One would think the dealership would be the best place to get answers but the fact is that most of them suck...

You said it brother, the dealerships were completely worthless. . The reason im in the mess is because when i bought the car it came with this hks exhaust system on it. I asked them a number of times to make sure it was completely legal. Come to find out a year later it is infact NOT legal. I called them up to discuss the matter and they proceeded to tell me that they can do NOTHING for me because they are under new ownership. So i have two options. Buy a completely new exhaust system for the car or try and go after the old owners legally. Both of which are pricey. The only exhaust i can find was for a 07 with muffler and straight pipe. hopefully i will be able to solve my issue with that.. once again though. Thank you to everyone that responded. It truely gave me some peace of mind.

Sucks, good luck sorting it all out. Look on the bright side, you can flip the HKS for a Nismo exhaust + some cash in your pocket. The Nismo exhaust is legal.
