if you see a black HR lowered on stock wheels that are gunmetal thats my car, if you see a bigger dude standing next to or around that car at any point of the day thats me, I always park in that parking area behind the place where you register at.

if you don't mind me asking, what kind of tires you use for autox/road racing?
I use Kumho V710s for autox and Hoosier R6s for road racing. I have a bunch of tire contacts for take-off tires - let's chat on Sunday if you're interested in getting any. I also have some tires stored in my garage.
Everyone did great. The runs went fast so there was time for all of us that stuck around (I wasn't going to but then decided to - yey for changing wheels TWICE) to do five fun runs. There were two (or three?) other 350s as well, but I don't think they're on here.
Scott, do you have a commitment to running the V710's for autocross........it's been my experience that the A/R6 still consistently outperform the Kumho's in dodging cones as well as on open circuit. Just curious for your input.
The other black 350z was just drifting and the white 350z was doing decent. I didn't break 57.99 like I wanted but I got close! 58.16 and that was on the fun runs at the end. I do need new tires asap though.
58.x is a very respectable time for that course, and you'll get faster as you get more used to pushing the car a bit more. Though I was disappointed that I couldn't break 50s in the trial laps, Dennis (the coordinator) was egging me on to get it in the fun runs. After a 50.1 and a 50.0, I hit 49.7 and backed it up - per Dennis's request - with a 49.8. I think that 50.0 was when you were in the car with me.
Tire are the single most important thing for autox after the driver. Even a good set of street tires (Star specs, Kumho MX, etc.) are > > > better than the cheaper tires that have been released recently. I got spoiled early by autocrossing on Michelin PS2 street tires, but quickly found out it wasn't fun to replace tires that are $400 a pop. I then moved to the Falken Azenis RT615s which were cheaper than dirt in 17" sizes, but those have long been eclipsed by the newer breeds of street tires. I highly suggest getting a spare set of tires just for autox or lapping events. In the end, the $ you save from replacing street tires will pay for the extra tires. If $ is tight, use stock 17 or 18" wheels and grab a set of tires for cheap. The fun factor will increase exponentially.
