NorCal UFO Autox Series at Marina Airport
Those are no good for a few reasons (avail of 16" tires, high offsets, caliper clearance, etc.) 17s or 18s are more ideal. Or, you could get those aftermarket wheels you've been drooling over, and use your OEM 06' wheels with some 255 autox tires. For much cheaper, you can get the 17" or 18" OEM wheels for like $300. If you want to stay in the stock class, which may not matter to you, you'd have to keep OEM size BUT can run oversized tires. I see a lot of take-off 245/40/17 and 255/40/17 Autox tires as well as 245/35/18, 255/35/18, and 275/35/18.
Way too large to copy and paste, but here's the link to the PDF.

Hey Scott, not sure if you're interested or even if they're a good buy, but I saw a set of 295 A6s over on an Evo forum for sale.. http://forums.evolutionm.net/sale-wh...5-30-18-a.html
I've been browsing Evo forums for wheels..

I have a 2007 Grand Touring edition Roadster with stock 18" wheels. What are you autocross drivers using for street tires that fit stock rims? Do you stay with stock 245/45/18 rear and 225/45/18? Or is there another size combo you think works better? I'm having a tough time finding affordable high performance tires for my car.

It seems many autoxers running street tires are using the Hankook RS-3s or Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs though.
I'm running the Hankook Ventus v12 evos which come in a wide variety and are pretty affordable. They're my daily and autox tires as I haven't got a spare set of wheels yet.. but they're pretty nice. There was a comparo done and they ranked very highly. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...mparison_tests

Those are a good mix for both, as are the Toyo RA1 and Toyo R888.
BTW to both of you, I have my eye on another set of W I D E R wheels, so may consider selling my current 18 x 9 x 4 SSR Comps (17# each) if that's any interest. The offset is high (I think it's +31 or so) to accommodate a large tire. I run 285s on them now, but one could run smaller tires as well.
Yup, common tires - I've heard goodness about the RS3 and Z1 Stars, as well as the Kumho XS (NOT the MX).
