Karting @ LMK
We have had a relatively stable group of us that kart once a month at LMK in Fremont (www.lemanskarting.com). We typically do the discounted "combo" which is $40 instead of $60 on Thursday nights for a practice, qualifier, and race. They have, however, been having 1/2 off specials through their Facebook account, so we may be able to kart on Thursday for $30 or Friday night for $30.
Our last time out last Thursday (4/1), there were some "fun" 240SX-drivers that thought it'd be fun to do straight line drifting during the session. I'm not talking about sliding around a turn, I'm talking about going straight and kicking the kart sideways while I'm barreling down at 30mph. Well, the track got red flagged, drifters were warned, etc., etc. Point-being, that I'd like to give as much effort as possible for us to fill up an entire group of 9-11 karts with our own people. It's not a matter of being fast or slow, it's a matter of not driving in a manner that ruins the fun for the others. I'm curious how many of you can commit to joining us for some fun. We typically sign up for an 8:30 or 9pm race, and you have to arrive 30 minutes prior to the race time. Update - I'm working on the date and will let you know asap. Come on all you High Octane Tuners, let's have some fun!

It's always an interesting adjustment going from the kart back into a car. A few of us stayed to run in the next session since the drifters made our session so "interesting". No prob on the tires. BTW, it was the Hankook Ventus V12 that I was thinking of last night.
Absolutely crazy fun last night. I love how we can slide the car around to get thu a corner and still be able to carry the speed in LMK. No way I can do that in GKR which traction is everything.

4/29 is out, as two of the 3 "core" guys can't make it, so unless we can get 9-11 on our own, I propose we change it. So far it looks like it's just me, CaliD, and ntrinsik for 4/29.
The Thursday night special is $40 instead of $60. Earlier this month they had a 1/2 off deal going, so I believe our combo would be $30 if they extended that promo. I'd plan on $40, and spend $10 on beer if it's only $30.
Sorry, that 9-11 drivers, not the date. I'm planning this for late this month or early May. If we could get 9-11 people, we'd go with April 29th. If we can't get that many, I'll reschedule it for another Thursday when the core of us that go can help make the numbers.
And it's Scott, you honestly wouldn't believe how often I get called Steve. At work, friends of friends, I don't get it. I guess I look like a Steve, though my screen names all have Scott in them one way or another based on which car forum we're talking about.
