Default Duel at De Anza?

Anyone planning on the Duel at De Anza coming up in a week and a half? I haven't autocrossed yet in the bay area but am considering trying to make this event.

I'm signed up and will be there. Get signed up ASAP, and hopefully you can join us at the next NorCal UFO event on June 6th (there was one just this past Sunday - you're missing out!).

Previous year's SCCA, but they also include a few local classifications that aren't national classes (like OSP that I run in).

Previous years may hurt me as I was planning on STR... We'll see. I still need to remove the plenum spacer to be STR legal

Just got word that De Anza is full for registrations. I'm waiting to hear back if they have a waiting list or not.

STR? Interesting. . . I'm looking at the scoring from last month, and I don't see anyone in STR. I've never been that familiar with the classes, I just run what I "brung".

Yeah, they limit it to 150 I believe. The invite has been out for awhile though.

STR is a street tire class, like STS but one that fits the 350z and S2000.

It is new for 2010 though, so likely not UFO compliant.

As for run what you brung, I get a little more into autocross than that been doing it for many years now

Most of the S2ks run in BSP, though I see some in ASP, AS, and BS. If that's the case with STR, then they will likely have that option next year. There aren't many 350s that run outside of the "fun runs", but those that have gone for the points series have been in BS. I run in OSP since I don't really fit in BSP. You could run there, too, and not have to change up your car.

BSP would likely be the best fit if I wanted to haul race tires around. I've done that for years, but trying to avoid it for a couple years. We'll see, I may get tired quickly of running aggressive street tires.
