Question THE BEST body shop in the bay area??

Hi everyone,

someone at work hit my car while it was parked and left a huge dent on the driver-side rear fender. He was nice enough to leave a note, though, so I'm really glad...

I've searched the forum for body shops and found some recommendations, but i was wondering if anyone had any more suggestions...

so what's the BEST body shop in the bay area? insurance is paying, so i want this baby fixed just like new

anyone?

Coast Auto Body in Redwood City fixed my 3.2 TL. They did a very good job. Paint match was so perfect I have never been able to tell exactly where they stopped.

Thanks for your replies guys.
mgl & monkey7, where is 19th ave autobody located? is it on 19th ave in SF?

I'm actually in mountain view, so I was looking for something in the southern peninsula...

pooh2002, what color was your 3.2TL? it seems like coast auto body might be a place I would want to check out since it's closer.

thanks!

I would look for one that is local. I think the one in the city is kind of far for you.

Also there is one called Dons auto body that did a good job on my old bmw. But they mostly do honda, just like 19th. But they do others also.

Check this out if your interested:
http://www.autorepair2000.com/autobo...Francisco.html

the ones mention are on this list.

Woogemooge,
My 3.2TL is a dark metallic green pearlescent. I was really afraid no one would be able to match it, but Coast did. I also liked the professional way they treated me during the process -

no matter what, you HAVE TO look at SCD collision center.. it's on martin avenue in santa clara.. i took my Z there to get it fixed, and they did a great job.. here's the website www.scdcollision.com.. this is the shop that my nissan dealer recommended me to go to. they even installed my clear reflectors for free even though all the damages were on the rear side of the car!! however.. they took forever to get the parts needed for my car though.. but it's not their fault because the parts were on back order.. even though they got the parts late, as soon as they got it, they installed it right away and it looks like new.. you should definately go check it out.. tell them Woody, the guy with the black 350z which took it in the a$$ sent you.. forgot the guy's name.. might be richard.. good luck with ur car

Nevermind Boost Ted.

I went over there today. Small world, I use to go to high school with the owner.

Also, saw your Z. What the heck did you do?

If you are really concerned then talk to the folks at Anthony's in San Rafael. I routinely see them working on old and new Ferraris with great results. A co-worker also just brought his MR-S there for collision repair and he was estatic with the job they did. It is a trek for you though.
