you veterans gotta inform me about the bracket racing thing. I've never been to that drag strip ever. Tell me the rules too. My cousins told me that if your car runs 13s, then you need a racing helmet.

Yes, you need a Snell 2000 or newer helmet if the car runs under 14s. Are you sure it can though?
The Wednesday Night Drags program will run most every Wednesday evening from March 9 - Nov. 16. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and racing spans from 4 p.m.-10 p.m. Cost is $25 for competitors ($15 with valid high school ID) and $10 for spectators. Season-long passes are also available.
Wednesday Night Drags will NOT run on the following dates:
June 22, 2011
July 20, 2011
July 27, 2011
August 17, 2011
August 24, 2011
The complete rules are here (http://www.infineonraceway.com/docum...RDragRules.pdf), but here are the cliffnotes:
- Passengers allowed in cars slower than 13.99s
- Snell 2000 helmets required for vehicles running faster than 14.00s, as well as full length pants
I'm in the process of getting a drag-legal cage for my Z so that I can run it at Wed night drags at full boost.

I haven't for about 2 years while I got the transmission rebuilt and a new tune, but I have probably made 30 passes in it at Sears/Infineon and about a dozen at Sac. This run in 2007 was at Wed Nt Drags to get into the finals. The trans was toast at this point (hence the recent rebuild), and I couldn't get the car in gear (watch for the flames as I try to shove it in gear):

I always had to keep the boost down (17psi) at Infineon because of their rules for cars running under 11.5s (now 12.0s), but Sac would allow you to run a few under 11.5 before they kicked you out. I have gotten kicked out of Infineon before, as I would dial 11.5 (since that's all that was allowed) and set the boost to keep me there. Then conditions changed and the car got faster at that boost level and I ran too fast.
Here is another run from that night (you can see the 11.5 dial-in on my window). It steps out pretty hard at the 47s mark, but I still managed the win. I think that was an 11.5x run:

And now that you have mods you'll probably run 13.8!
