Default Will be working in Fremont for a bit

So I am going to be working in Fremont for the next three or four months. The problem is I don't want to drive up there all the way from Houston, but I need a vehicle there. How is there public transportation? Any temporary car solutions? Can't really justify buying an old beater if I'm only going to be there for a few months. Also, anybody know of anyone subleasing around the area?

Public transit is pretty solid over here...look into BART and AC transit, they will be your new best friends.

Are you going to be staying in Fremont? You might be able to find a place close to work and bike in. For a car you can look into renting when you need a car. Buses are not bad, they will get you around. Almost all the buses have bike racks too.

Not sure what your budget is but you can always buy a beater to get around and then sell it before you head back.

If you dont mind sharing, where abouts will you be working in Fremont?

EDIT: Hit me up if you need any info of the area, 12 year Fremont native.

Thanks for the help! All I know is that the office is on Cushing Parkway. I don't know where that is in relation to everything else...I've never actually been to California for any reason other than vacation and flight layovers.

Cushing Parkway? I don't think there's bus plying that road.

Correct me if I'm wrong Mr Cali-Darkness.

I have never seen buses on Cushing. Sounds like OP will be working over @ Lam Labs or that area. I believe there is a bus that goes by on Fremont Blvd.

Welcome to Norcal, hope it's good to you. BART is our shuttle system that runs both up and down the east bay, and over to SF. You should be good with long-term transportation, but like others said I don't think there's buses on Cushing Pkwy. Bike would be good.

Sounds like a plan. I guess I can just get myself an old fashioned Huffy. Oh the nostalgia...are there any colleges nearby where there might be students sub leasing for a few months?
