[Sacramento]: ACCNH Hot August Night (8-19-11)
OK .. I got this information via our NSX friends ..
Please mark your calendars to attend and support this annual event.
Back by popular demand is our annual community involvement event - the annual Asian Community Center Nursing Home Fundraiser and Car show. The local NSX group has supported this fundraiser and show, and several took home nice trophies.
Event Details:
Name: ACCNH Hot August Nights Fundraiser and Car Show
Date: Friday, August 19th, 2011
Time: 2pm - 5pm
Location: ACC Nursing Home. 7801 Rush River Drive, Sacramento CA
Registration: $10. We can pay at the door, but spaces are limited, so we have to sign up in advance.
Other info: they will have BBQ/food sales, music and raffles as well.
If anyone is interested in showing, let me know. This is event is almost in my backyard, so I plan on attending (even showing). If anyone else wants to show, let me know and I'll see if there is space available. I'm hoping maybe 1-3 local (SoSac Z's)??

Thanks for the sticky ..
I heard from the organizers. They are having a hard time getting cars for the show. They admit having it on a Friday afternoon is a challenge, but I hoping that maybe some of you locals can make it? They say you can register on site at the day of the show ... roll-in begins at noon.

See you there ..
ZONC NVR: This was a great event. Secluded from the normal traffic of zoomers, it primarily focused o the true Vehicluar and Mortorcycle Enthusasist. If you had just bought a nice car and expected to win because of this, like some other events seem to do, forget it! The fundamentals of a show and selection contest were in it's prime here. Very Clean criteria used for judging was as follows:
Vehicle appearance
Make and Model
Engine modifications
engine bay appearance (Clean or Dirty)
Exhaust systems
Purr or sound of engine running
Body modifications
Interior design
Exteror design
Suspension design
wheels and tires
Audio/video enhancements
Originality
Attitude of dsiplayer
Attitude of Car/Motocycle
Overall appearance of car/motorcycle
it was a very thorough examination of your Vehicle and You!
THe Judges were very specfic and open minded and I would recccomend this to any real car/motorcyle enthusaist show attendee.
As well, it was for a great cause of very wonderful people and elders. I was very surprised to experience the low $ entrance fee and it was very worth iit!!
Also there was carte blanche food including real BBQ Burgers, Chicken, SOdas Suschi, Veggie plates and drinks galore. Even was a Fresh shaved ice Machine to cool off with slurping cold slurpees!
The staff sponsoring this event were Great and let you know you were welcome !
The live entertainment included live musicians, singers, dancers and very nice and cute Karoke Singers. And yes, Young Ladies aplenty looking at the cars and simply having a nice time.
I'll be there next year for sure. I won the Top SHow Award. Too say the least, I am now very flattered.
Perhaps, next year you should consider joining this great show and people as well.
Alan- Thank- You for letting me know that this was happening. Count me in for next years event as well

Hey Rolf .. 1st .. Thank you for the kind words! 2nd . .Congrats on the award.

As maddawg posted - the hosts were very gracious and appreciative of everyone that attended. The show organizer recognized the challenge of a Friday afternoon show, but circumstances dictated it happening this way this year. Next year, the plan is for the show being held on a weekend.
My goal is to organize a "Fountains-like showing" with the NSX's .. so mark your calendars for next August!
