Default Bride or Recaro? Help me decide!

I'm trying to decide between the following:

Bride Zeta III FRP ~$600
Bride Zeta III Carbon Fiber ~$1400
Recaro SPG FRP ~$600
Recaro SP-GTII FRP ~1400

What do you guys think? Cost performance wise, the FRP versions of the seats are better, but strength wise, the CFP seems to be more sturdy (from what I've noticed sitting in it).
Also, the SP-GTII seems to be much more sturdy than the SPG.

Bride Zeta III

Recaro SPG

Recaro SP-GTII

I'd really appreciate your input, as I'm itching to get it really soon.

hey spf4000,

i was in the same predicament earlier this year.

it was either the bride zeta III or the recaro sp-g.

i liked the bride zeta III, but it was more narrow than the sp-g.

the cloth for the recaro was better material than the bride also.

the recaro sp-gtII is not a recaro usa seat, so it will have to be ordered from recaro japan.

my suggestion is to sit in both seat and see which one is more comfortable.

you know these seats don't recline also.

my wife doesn't have any problem getting in and out of the seats, but other passengers do.

take care abd good luck!!!!!!!!!

it really depends on what feels more comfterable/more supportive.

but if you are building your car for show ... go with the holding monsters

True pimps rock the Bride. If I didn't want my side airbags to help save my azz in a street accident, I'd be rolling in Brides.

Thanks for everyone's advice!

I'm looking to get it for the driver's side only, because I've sat in them and although I'm perfectly comfortable in the seat, I know my passengers will probably not like it very much. I'm not really doing this for show, so I don't mind if it looks a bit strange with two mismatched seats.

john350z - As for the SP-GTIIs, I won't have any problems getting them because my parents live in Japan, so I can just have them ship it over to the states.

i like the zetaIII because i've never owned bride's.

race cars around the world use recaro seats - truly race proven!!!!

i do like the look of the sp-gtIIs.

man, whichever route you take, it will look good.

see if the specs for the sp-gtII is the same as the regular sp-g.
remember, the japanese recaros were tailored for the japanese market.

As a sign of how much I am not a "car guy" (tm), I thought you were asking whether to get married or mod your car.

Okay, so I've decided to go with the Recaro SP-GTII. Now I just have to decide whether to get the standard black, or the Tomcat yellow version.

All right, that was my first choice too. I just wanted to hear someone else agree with me. I'm getting the Tomcat one then!

Recaros are more comfortable...
