Default Where To Get 350Z Tuned In Nor-Cal?

Hello!
looking to get the Z upgraded in a couple months.
I'm probably just going to get the:
Mrev2+Spacer
K&N Drop In Filter
Rest of car is stock.

So I was wondering where in North California do you guys get your Z's tuned? I know the Osiris Tune is the choice of alot of the members here but just wondering where you guys get it?

Thanks!

*I used search function for a while but no dice :/*

Also: I'm guessing the car won't pass smog anymore though?????

The mrev and spacer are a visual failure if the smog tech knows what to look for. I would get a baseline dyno at z car garage and see if you even want to bother with that stuff and tune. Im at 244/233 with dual exhaust and a pop-charger. Some guys have spent a lont of money and barely get to 250ish whp.

I mainly just want a bit more midline and I heard that those 2 mods deliver pretty well for that.
My Z is a 06 so it should benefit alright; I mean i hear people all the time on the forums say its the best mod for the money so I figure I should try it.

I know visual is always a risk but I mean in terms of emission?

theres Z CAR GARAGE

if you want to go down to SOCAL though, there is GTM and CHURCH.

100% up to you. I got my car tuned at ZCG, thinking of getting a church tune just for comparison.

Emissions will be fine, removing the cats is really the only way to fail emissions. Smog program changing anyways, youll probably not have to do dyno test on your 2014 inspection.
I bought a spare plenum set to play port and polish with instead of doing the spacer. I think you can swap yours with non-revup for more low-mid range torque.

Don't mean to thread jack but i've heard rumors they are changing this also, correct me if i'm wrong but they're no longer going to run the sniffer, they're just going to plug into you OBD-II port and verify you dont have any codes?

They won't tell us anything solid, but yes something like that. The cars that are now "Test Only" will probably still get the old test, it is going to be very strict for those of us that want to test the older cars. I'm trying to buy a test only shop next month, might have to sell Z though! I'll give all the local Z's free smogs if you guys help pimp my shop out.

It's really better to keep your car stock around here, once the state has more money they will start doing the random roadside smogs again. And the new smog machine will probably be able to see if the car has been tuned.

ZCG is good, but I called them a week ago and they said they are booked for a couple weeks. I just wanted my exhaust bolts checked.

I feel bad you guys have to deal with all that smog crap. Although I haven't gone through an inspection in TX yet with the HFC's.

There's also a reflash that will be available from Nissan Motorsports soon for the Spec Z's.

Didn't get the shop yet Sina, find out Friday. I work for some evil $100 smog people right now.

Itozann makes a valid point; how much was the z car garage tune?

I would get more bolt on before getting tune, but if you are done modding for sure definitely go to Z car garage, they tune my car last month. Rob is a really good guy and knowledgeable. $640 is correct, but he does give military discount on labor.
