Talking Why are the forums so dead

Was it Facebook.
Same sol thing just got old.
No new people chatting it up.
Economy sucks.
The weather.

Back in 2006 I remember this forum to be poppin.

And now I finally got one of your cars..... Was up

Fill me in people.......

Is the club not organized anymore.?....?.
What do we need.

And why did they make the37oz forum. It don't make sense. To separate the people. It just lowers amount of people on each forum.

If anyone cares to reply it is appreciated...............
Thanks

Thanks for responding.

But with all the 350z offset movement that's been going on for past couple years.
And they most likely being second or third owners of the car.
You'd think newbs would pump new blood into it.

Winter time, rainy season, cars parked. Spring runs will be starting again in more frequency. Check above post #8. Ed's really got the low down as he's involved in a lot of the events, or photographing them. Also check out Z Owners of Northern California: ZONC.ORG, which have a group of runs and gatherings. Good club to join, I've been with them a long time, as the "Area Rep" for Montery/Santa Curz" Counties. Have Car Events beginning April - Sept every weekend from picnics, to Laguna Seca Events, Sonoma Raceway, meets, etc. Very cheap to join the club and lots of things going on. Lastly ZCarage.com can give info some events too, as they sponsor events. They are a great garage for all Z/G cars and can doing anything from simple oil changes to whatever hp upgrade you could imagine. Check them out, and "Rob" is the man. Welcome as a new Z owner and if you join in on some of the events, might see you there. Warren

People are actually remembering to be more 'civil' these days thus, less posting and trolling etc than usual. Particularly the trolling.

But Diff between forums and facebook is that I only wanna know about ur car or mods. And possible cruise together or have meets. Share info on the car. B.s. and other topics that could create a smile.

Not know about your dog, fav color, when u last took a dump. And other useless info.
That dominates Facebook. And the endless requirement to add people as friends.

In my opinion the forums should remain and Facebook is not the way to go.

And Facebook has no classifieds and vendors can't reach us on Facebook.

The cars are getting old. Simple as that. Happens with every forum dedicated to a specific model that is no longer in production (except for classic cars, etc.).

i agree with forum specific so i dont know why the formed another forum for 370z it just thins out the audience.

is the car old "350z"

the car has been on the forefront of the whole stanced and stertch tire trend so yes historically old but fashionable not!!

i mean i have followed the threads in the tire section shiit they do is crazy.
along with s2000 forums on same topic.

so with all these new people like myself buying a z. i figured people would still be posting..

other car forums are still going strong.

I feel like once it warms back up, and people start spending more money, things will liven up

When the question about dead forum is pretty much dead... I will say though it's very very active on facebook. I think it's sort of taken the new turn. This was definitely the hot place back in 2003, 2004, and on for a long time. Lots happening, but now, it's a new group with z's and a lot of originals owners are no longer. That's another change in the action. There's some good groups out there, but now gone to facebook, so check it out.

Smile Why so Quiet out there ?

EGOs & Attitudes sometime have their effects on all. Awaiting for the future version of the Z to get here, then the 370s will be in line with the 350s. Watch the egos fly then. Me, I am pretty content w/ my 2006 350.

There is still a lot of activity out there. Simply needs a good facilitator to bring it all together.
Maybe ZCON 2014 will do this

People go on facebook more. Mods are hammering down on the flame wars and trolling etc. I joined here when the forum was in the grave so I don't really know much about the good ole days.
