Why not do it? You will be assigned to a lower speed to maintain and they have Nevada's permission to speed. Its not the Autobahn, but may be as close as you ever get. You choose, based on the event's parameters, not what we on this site say. Its a dangerous game, but you know that and must make up your own mind, don't trust your life to others.
Hmm...intriguing. Does anyone have a map of the highway? How close is the starting point to the bay area.
Also, am I reading this correctly? There is no registration fee- you just need to become a membership dues? Or did I miss the entry fee entirely?

You missed the entry fee, it exists.

They had a few accidents, with some loss of life, but the 2 way format would seem to lessen the chance of accident. If you do it, you better have your car in the best condition its ever been in, or you could end up dead. I'd buy brand new tires, change all fluids, etc.

Ahh yes- I found it- thanks Boomer. I think I'd rather save my money for 3-4 track events. Unless Tony is going to be the nice guy he is and pay my entry fee.

Which class do you intend competing in? This a legitimate, sanctioned event. They had a few accidents, with some loss of life, but the 2 way format would seem to lessen the chance of accident.
