Wednesday night drags at Infineon raceway

Who is going? I just wanted to get a rollcall together. I just got my Z recently and I wanted to go see what she can do. I am not going this wednesday but the week after during my spring break from the santa rosa junior college. If anyone wants to go or is already planning on going say whats up

I might go. I was there last Weds and I thought I heard them say something about one Weds this month they will NOT be running. If they are the 14th let me know and I will go. You can run in either the street class (lots of V8's) or the street sport. (imports, no V8's) I usually like to race in the street class, but let me know what class, time etc. and I will be there.

 

Wednesdays are the days that I could not possibly miss school

I also would like to see what I could do with my car... Damn.

 

Don't the drags start at like 4pm? There is no way I could get outta work and get out to Infineon. I want to though... maybe some day I could work a half day...

 

wednesday nite is indoor karting nite for me

 

If you can get there by 3 you get 2-4 runs before eliminations at 5. 5pm approx. is when you put your dial in on and start eliminations, so you get at least one more run and several more if everything is going well. They run until 10pm.

 

I will be there on the 14th. Stock silver 350z if you see me say what up! My name is Josh obviusly! haha. Im hoping i can hit some really low 14 second ETs. Hope to see some of you out there!

 

I will go too. I'll check to see if they are running that night. as I said, I thought they said something about one Weds this month is canceled.

I will be in a black Z w/bling, bling wheels. there has never been more than 2 Z's there at one time and usually it is just me. Do you know what kind of cars you want to race? You have the pick of two classes.
If you can get a good launch you should hit low 14's. c ya Walt

 

Hopefully me and my boys will be going up. We have been trying to plan a day to run our cars, so this is perfect.

 

Im gonna stick with street. I dont wanna run with all the V8s im just gonna stick with the imports becuase alot of my buddies are running too.

Hey I see a black 350 with bling bland wheels around rohnert park all the time is that you?? If it is and you see me cruisin my silver base model say whats up!!!

Probably mine. I work at SSU in RP. Mostly go up and down Pet Hill Rd. It has the aero kit and borla exhaust. I flash my lights when I see another Z. I don't see too many Z's for some reason.

The class you will want to run in is: sport street. they will ask you at tech check in. You should be able to beat most of the cars in that class. look out for the 2 vw bugs and the STI's though. Also a fast maxima and a jag sedan.
I will run in that class too then. I have friends running in both classes.

Is anyone heading to this from the Castro Valley area? I would like to go but have no idea how these things work. Never been to a track before. Can you put up some more details. What it costs, etc... Thanks

If its your first time its not really that hard to do it. Just go to infineon its 20 to race 10 to observe. They will tell you were to go at the gate if you ask. Its the first right after the racing school and you go down by that sound wall and they have techs down there that check your car and put you in your class. You should go in sport street thats what im gonna do anyway. Then you just go line up with the other cars in your class and wait for your run. Im sure you know how a christmas tree works. Its alot of fun and there are uslaly some cool people out there.


Walt, Ive seen your car abunch of times in rp. I just got my Z about 2 weeks ago I had a silver civic Si with black volk te37s and I would always look at your car becuase its so nice. Finally got a Z of my own and im stoked. Anyway its good to see another Z owner in my area on this message board. Ill see you on wednesday though man! Take it easy!

I will be coming from Santa Rosa. I usually try to get there by 3 or so. The fee to race is $20.00. $12.00 or so to watch.
It would be nice to have a few Z's there, especially if we do well.

 

Josh, was that you I saw tonight at 4:30 RP Ex & Pet Hill? That is my "dragstrip" when I leave work. I like my 5AT remembering that I want it to shift fast. (love that g force feeling) It is also the only strech where you dont' have to worry about the radar cops.

 

Yes! That was me on expressway I was coming home, i thought that was you! That is defintly a nice straight road to get on it, another good one is the road by agilent. I have seen your car alot in rp I live right near there in those apartment builds on snyder.

ok I plan on leaving here at 2pm tomorrow. if anyone wants to meet for the drive up just pm me. i am leaving from castro valley. if not, i'll see u guys there

 

Watch for a Chrome Silver Z(me) and a Mini Cooper S (my friend). Come up and say Hello, it will be my first time at the track.

 

I will..hopefully it won't rain. I have seen at least one other mini s there.
