Default Buyin a 350z...

What's up. I dont know how NOT to sound like a total n00b when I ask, but im selling my 01 Civic and was gonna get a 350z in less than 2 months. i was wondering if anybody can help with me out a good dealership to get one from. I know some dealerships are the backbone of horror stories from warranty problems or what not, any feedback is appreciated. I live in San Jose (by the Stevens Creek Auto Row) and I'm willing to drive anywhere in the Bay for a good place. Thanks fellas.

Talk to your brother- I'm forgiving and just deleted your post- can't say the same will happen if another mod sees something similar in the future.

As for dealers- I would refer you tothe one where I bought my car (Stanford Nissan) but they closed up shop about 3 months ago. I've heard good and bad things about Boardwalk in Redwood City.

Thanks for the info, its going to suck cause I'm selling my 01 Civic first, and then mobbing in my truck (03 Ram) until I find a Z, but im gonna be interested in buying it ASAP, so a dealer with a lot of Z's would come in handy.

Default Capital Nissan

I just ordered a Z (sortof) from Capital Nissan, from Rod, the fleet manager. I wanted a specific model/color (DB Perf with side airbags and the usual little add-ons), and none of the other dealers could find one in stock in the area or were willing to look much further or make the extra effort. Rod got back to me within 15 mins and had located the exact model/trim I wanted on the BOAT on its way to Pheonix, and he worked out a trade and got it redirected to Capital Nissan. All for $500 under invoice. (not as cheap as it would be if I pulled it off his lot but not bad considering!). Give him a call, he's a straight shooter, no salesman BS. (408) 979-4154

Hope that helps.

I think you meant to say $500 under MSRP (sticker) which isn't all that good. Never heard of any Z selling for less then dealer cost. Am I wrong?

$500 under invoice? That's pretty damn good. Is it because the 04 sales are down?

I went to Capitol Nissan, saw a Silverstone Roadster, which was waht I wanted, but definately got pissed when the dealer said, and I quote "it has rim and tire package worth $6,000". I think the guys name was Bruce. $6g's for a Bridgestone tire/18" ADR package, riiiiight....I was like THANKS. I'm just hoping when I sell my car in a few weeks that it wont be too much of a hassle finding one that I want. I dont want to special order it, cause like you said, you can work out a better deal with whatever they have on the lot. Thanks.

LOL, 500 under MSRP is what I MEANT to say. Damn good deal if I got it under invoice!

Anyway, if you have a specific model/trim in mind you don't have to actually order one (special made, etc), just call up the fleet manager and see if they can locate it for you. Or, go to nissanusa.com and create the car you want and search local dealers inventory.
