Have you been on any of the NorCal Z runs yet. I'm in school presently till Last Friday of April. We should get together sometime. There's two runs coming up, the BB run this month and the Yomsimete in May. I'm out by the "Food for Less" store, about 150 yards from it. send me a pm sometime. We'll get together. I Have some friends here with other Z cars, i.e. 350Z, 280Z, 240Z, and Z32's.

Oops, I'm way overdue in replying to this thread. I'm sorta a newbie to the Bay Area. I'm originally from the San Jose but moved to WA state near Seattle back in 97 for work. I recently moved back here near the end of October 04.

Since I didn't have a car until my senior year of high school then went to LA for college then WA for work, I do feel like a bit of newbie to the area.

I've been on my350z.com way before I got my 04 Z.

i know what you mean about finding a PPW. It took me awhile to find mine. Chrome silver is a nice choice tho.

My PPW came from Vaccaville some 90 miles from here. Took a lot of searching on Nissan's site though. The dealer in Santa Cruz had it delivered to my house, so it was no big deal.

Figured I would introduce myself now that I officially own a 350Z.

My names Aaron and I picked up a 2003 pikes peak white touring trim Z on saturday this last weekend. Its in excellent condition as it only has 15,400 miles on it.

So far its been amazing, even just around town. Cant wait to take it on a road trip somewhere, especially with some twisties.

This weekend is either planned for a trip to south lake tahoe to visit a friend or run Del Puerto Canyon with a buddy of mine. So either way I will get some pictures up hopefully by monday/tuesday.

Unfortunatly only being 19, and paying for everything myself; Pretty much all my money is going towards the Z but, its worth every penny of it.

No mod plans yet except for stock navigation and a V1. I would like to wait until the car is paid off before I go voiding the warranty, as I dont think I could afford any engine problems AND the payments/insurance.

Welcome, looks like this weekend might be rainy so be careful out there, to much power to the rears will have your tail passing your nose (w/ TCS off) faster than you can say, "What the...".

As far as anyone has been able to determine, stock nav is not something that can be added by the dealer, if you already have it, it's all good, if not, aftermarket nav is doable and cheaper.

As far as voiding the warranty goes there is quite a bit you can do without affecting it. On the other hand, seeing as how every penny is going toward the car, catching the mod bug might be bad for your financial health, I know it's killing my bank statements!

Anyway, good luck

Chris

I dont plan on going either place unless the weather conditions permit. I would hate to have my first rainy ride on a canyon run haha.

Hmm, I will have to call my local nissan dealer and see whats up. When I went and looked at the used Z's they had, the sales guy said they could put in the navigation if I wanted, but now it just sounds like a sales pitch :P

I didnt buy my Z from a nissan dealer so, the warranty is different and it covers pretty much everything. I'll have to read into it and find out exactly what it doesnt cover and plan mods around that for now.

Newbie here. I just picked up my new ride on Friday 13th. I ordered the car Jan 18th. It's an Ultra Yellow 35th Annivisary model, 6mt, nav, side airbags and the whole deal. I already have Nismo exhaust and Sways to install. The car was ordered from Advantage Nissan in Bremerton Wa. because most of the dealers in the bayarea were DICKS. Boardwalk Nissan even forgot to order the damn thing after having my $1000 deposit for 3 months so I said forget it, give me back my money and left. Capitol in San Jose wan't any better. I can't say enough good things about Advantage and what a deal! These guys picked me up at Sea Tac and treated me like a human the entire time! The drive down the coast highway (101) to the Bay Area was great, 900 miles in 2 days, pure fun. Anyway I live in Hayward and work out in Livermore. This isn't my daily driver so I'll use it on the weekends. Hope to meet you guys in the near future.

As a side note I searched on how to post a picture and resized it to 640X480 but don't see the browse button anywhere. If someone would be willing to post it for me that would be appreciated.

Welcome!! Lot of dedication to go to WA to pick up a Z. Sounds like it was worth it though. Walt

Welcome to the board! Congrats on your acquisition

Too bad that Ellis Brooks in SF doesn't sell Nissans anymore, b/c they were really good for me, but car brokers would've been a feasible avenue also. In any case, you got it, so...

If your image fits within the maximum limitations, you can scroll down to the Additional Options section of a Reply to Topic page and then look for the Attach Files frame. Click on Manage Attachments. From the pop-up, you should be able to browse and then upload. If your image is too large (in file size or pixel size), then you'll have to have your image hosted. Then you would use IMG tags to have the picture show on the board

yobri,
Thanks for the help on posting a pic. I'll give it a try.

This is at a museum where the Spruce Goose is in McMinnville, Or.
