Talking hwy9-35 @ night (again)

So, I had to head toward Milbrae last night and had a couple hours to kill so I decided to take the long detour. Went up to Saratoga to 9 to 35 then down 92 to 82

Well, considering that I haven't been on this stretch of the road at night since Jason's incident, I was a little uneasy, more so about the police/sheriff hiding behind bushes then the girl in white floating on the side of the road asking for a ride or the white haired lady that apears in your rear view mirror when you check it but when you turn around, she's gone. (wait we don't have a back seat, strike that last one)

Anyways, I was takingt the entire drive very cautious. It was kinda cool to see a row of about 4-5 FD coming down hwy9 as I was ascending. Kinda gives me the feeling that I'm not alone on this mountain middle of the night.

Overall, I managed to stay off the paint through out the whole drive and was able to take the entire session at a nice pace, though it does feel slightly slower then the time I drove through there alone in the fog. Anyways, it does look like some of our tax dollar went to work on this road, the condition was very favorable, I did not encounter any major bumps or missing chunks of road. Though I did get stuck behind 2 cars near the connection to 92 & there was 1 sighting of a police/sheriff, but he/she was there helping a bmw that had hit the side of the mountain on the tow truck.

So I would say, hwy 9 is open season again!! Go during weekday, I'm sure there are less police & less traffic.
As for me, I'm paying for it right now... too damn tire... ~sigh where is my coffee....
maybe that's why I'm rambling on and on here...

My friend crashed his NSX ( small impact ) on Hwy9. I also spun out once on Hwy9 in a turn. I hit a bunch of gravle that somehow got spread into both lanes and spun a 180. Lucky for me I hit nothing, close though.

So yeah, I like to take it easy on that road.

Ah, the FD's are back! I remember them from the run 2 weeks before "The Night". Glad to hear you had a good time. I've been itching to go up, but I didn't want to chance it, particularly since I've been packing away a couple of bottles of MGD each of the last few nights. Also, with the FD's being back, that probably means the S2K's are also back (they had that meet in that general area around the day of RATB-II, I believe). Which means the cops won't be far behind.

lol, nah I was driving easy. As I said there wassome gravel in the road. Wouldnt take much to make you loose it even at just a moderate pase.

Hmm, I hope my donutes at the SF meet dont make everyone think I'm some crazy driver! I'm really not. I'm over there with the grandmas on the freeway!

Infact I probably wouldnt like going on a 9 run with most of you because I don't like driving that fast

Crazy Dave only comes out to play when the road is wet and fog visibility is like 3-5 feet in front of you

alot easier to slide your tail around....

really, as much as I like seeing dorifooting, I still believe more in driving the lines!! it's still is the faster way around.
isn't that right my fellow track hos!!

Hey! What's wrong with driving behind me? Most of the time I'm trying to keep up with Crazy Dave!

BTW, just went up today with a passenger, so I had to take it easy. Almost hit 70mph on the way up, and on the way down, cleared 70, but didn't reach 80, and got stuck behind some people. My passenger was feeling a little sick, though. And no, those aren't fast speeds when you're running it in the day time.
