so far its almost a 10 hr. job. i think your dent removal guy will be dead tired! lemme know where and maybe he could squeeze an extra car in.
Hey Michelle,

I will try and get at least 2 techs... but im not sure we can get the cheapest guy... So far i have a guy who did my hood (for those who remember the infamous flyin boot on 101... ) and it came out flawless... but he did have a hard time with my rear quarter panel (not much space to work with)...

Anyways, His rates for the group buy is...
(Delta Dent) Small Dings, Door Dents...
$55 for the first dent and $20-$30 for additional dents...

Now There's another guy (West Coast Dent) who does bigger dents but his rates are higher $75 (for smaller dents) - up to $200+ for Basketball size Dents ...

Yellow Stealth, i called Dent Expert (Sal) and he said he doesnt come out to this side of the bay.. But he said if theres anything that other guys can't do... he'll do them but you have to come to him in San Mateo... real cool guy

For those who just have small ones, the Delta guy is awesome... but for the ones who has bigger dents, let me know and maybe i can get the other guy to come as well... If not, we'll go with the Delta Dent.

I will post a new thread with the Location and Time no later than tomorrow... If the date doesnt work for you, let me know ASAP...

If we get more people as well, i will definitely get the other guy (WCC) but the rates are different...

So three dents within a 6" vicinity of each other on the same panel is going to cost $95-$115? In my situation, would that be a fairly reasonable deal (considering this is a GB and all...)?

I know that anything on the rear qtr panel takes longer and should cost more.good luck. Anything on the front fender, hood and the door are basic dings. i talked to this guy and he said he would workout a deal and he does work at chevron premier. (please don't say anything because he's doing it on the side) never seen his work but says he's done other clubs and has been doing this since 89. he understand that these are like our babys. he warned against hackers(he said people that can do basic work but if they mess up they have to call someone else to fix the problem) I was trying to get a group discount for my company and he wanted around $75 per ding and $25 after that. Nothing major. he said if we had like 3 minor dings on one panel like the door it would be $100 and he'd throw in a fourth one on the same panel if it was more of a blemish then a ding. he's a nice guy and stressed quality but once again i haven't seen his work...but he does work at chevron. minor dents he considers the size of a dime. he sounds flexible but won't drop his drawers on price. I was actually interested in a cheaper solution becase mine are as basic as it gets but i can't speak for everyone. I just know this dent is annoying me crazy

Damn Bro... i don't think that can be removed... I say you should get it fixed at an auto body collision place... coz that looks like a major body damage... come by anyways, see if he can make it look subtle at least...

DentPro usually charges $90 for a small one inch ding...
so, $95 for three is a damn good deal...

DentPro Rates:
1" dent
$89.00
2" dent
$129.00
3" dent
$159.00
4" dent
$189.00

yea good shops say it will take around $1500 to get it back to new....
the picture is before i cleaned it up... i clay bar'd the area and most of it is paint from the other car.... there are just two patches on the bumper where the paint scratched off.... and the dent on the rear quarter panel is actually smaller than the size of a baseball... problem is the dent is on a crease... anyways, i'll come to see what can be done... its not exactly worth $1500 to spend now...

I live in the East Bay near Walnut Creek. I used DentPro last week. Cost was $130. for a small door ding/dent that went over the crease in the front quarter panel near the wheel arch. Perfect job--I can't tell where the dent was.

Sounds as if the local DentPro was a little higher than other quotes. This is a great idea to get a group rate.

wow... never knew dent removal was so pricey. there are numerous dents on the rsx.
guess we'll just come by to see how much he'll charge to remove most of them. and of course to show henry the engine cover.

Default UPDATE:

UPDATE:

Ok, Here's what's set so far...

WHAT: Dent Removal GB/BBQ
WHEN: June 13th, 2004
WHERE: Omega TintWerks Lot in Pleasanton
3701 Old Santa Rita Rd. #18
Pleasanton, CA. 94588
925-227-1322

Now for the dilemma...

Delta Dent Guy can only stay from 8-12 (so he might not get everyone...)

I spoke to a DentPro guy who lives near Pleasanton and he can give us a 20% discount if we want to go with him. His rates are higher because DentPro guarantees their job or you dont have to pay. I can try and talk him to maybe 25% off, but he said only if you have at least a dozen for sure... but he can stay as long as we need him to...

Who should we go with... i personally would rather go with someone who can guarantee the job... so theres no hassle, but what do you guys think?

Let me know (via PM if you like) so we can get this ball rolling... and so i can call the proper people to cancel and/or reaffirm with them...

Thanks

Got any idea on the rates for the second guy (that is, before the percentage discount)?

So... I got rear ended the other day, luckily there isn't any noticeable damage, since it was as such a low speed... the idiot kept riding my bumper in traffic... (During that acciedent on 101S thursday moring) Why does he need to follow so close? Traffic isn't going anywhere!

Sorry... had to vent a bit....

Anyways... gives me more of a reason to go on Sunday...
