Opinions on Nissan Service for East Bay
Anyone have good experience with warranty work from Nissan Dealers around Oakland or Berkeley? I need to have some warranty work done but my business forces me to stay around this area.
Thanks for any help!

I realize this doesn't really offer any opinions on Oakland or Berkley dealerships, but I've always used Dirito Bros. in Walnut Creek and they have always been top notch. Good luck.
Some of the bay guys have used Hanless in Richmond (about 10-15 minutes away from Berkeley w/out traffic)... pointfivezero and I think ***** have used them... they may be able to better advise when/if they see this thread. Or you can PM pointfivezero, I know he's used them recently
yeah i've been the nissan in hilltop. i had the axle 'backing plate' problem. I didn't have any problems except that they washed my car. I brought the car in to service in the morning, explained the problem with very little detail, the mechanic said he had an idea as to what it might be, not too confident but had an idea. It was ready when i got back from work. All in all I'd say a positive experience. Nothing to write home about though. I mean basically... you should expect that kind of service from any dealer...
Hayward Nissan is pretty good they said they'd have the window motor for my car in the middle of june and made appear suddenly the next day >>>like two weeks ago, debbie the service lady is pretty nice

Hanlees Nissan in Richmond is solid. I bought my Z there and had a ticking sound in my rear view mirror...instead of messing around with it and giving me stress, they just replaced it.
The assistant service manager, Joe Deoreon (sp?) is cool. They are also mod friendly.
anyone been to mckevitt for service?
just wondering, i have the rear axle 'clicking' 'clacking' problem.
i bought my car from them and they were great but have not been in for service. anyone?

McKevitt's ok, but they're mainly a volvo dealer and they're focus is on volvo's. I take mine there for oil changes, but the service reps don't really know much bout the Z (and I'm not sure the techs do either.) So if you're looking into doing some warranty work I'd look elsewhere.
