Default wine country pics...

So, being bored tonight, I drove out into Alexander Valley (Red Winery Rd, outside of Healdsburg) ... and snapped a few pics...

Just thought I'd share. Here's a sample:

More of them [HERE]

I need to map out a nice route... so we can go on a drive! Lots and LOTS of nice roads up this way, with beautiful scenery...

Nice shots bro...

If you set up something, make sure it passes near Silver Oak Winery

That's one of my weaknesses...

Sounds like we have a consensus in the works for another RATB? Or maybe a Half-Ring?

Half-Ring Around the Bay? Sounds good to me, bring it on!
I know we could complete half a ring.
Would this be HRATB?

Technically, a half ring around the bay wouldn't get us home, per se.... We would start off at one point and then never return to the beginning... maybe we can call this one The Napa Run

I'm in, look forward to the "bug-gage" inherent of the countryside...

We could call it the Northern Semi Ring.

Works for me, as you are the "lord of the rings" since you coined the name "Ring Around the Bay"

There are some really beautiful roads up NORTH here, if you guys wanna come up this way.

These pics were taken just north of Healdsburg, in Alexander valley.

We could do something like meet in Santa Rosa, go up to:

Chalk Hill Rd -> HWY 128 -> Geysers Rd -> back down to Skaggs Springs -> Stop in Bodega for lunch -> HWY 1 -> HWY 116 to Bohemian HWY, and HWY 12 Back to Santa Rosa.

Quite a drive, but it would be awesome. Not sure how familiar you guys are with the roads/mountains up here... but here are a few pics of what I'm talking about:

CHALK HILL RD

GEYSERS RD

SKAGGS SPRINGS

116 and Bohemian HWY

So yeah, it'd be a long, twistie drive... but its a suggestion. We could always cut it short if its too long, and hop the fwy back.

I'm up for any Napa or Sonoma Trip, that is truly beautiful country up there....Maybe a trip to Fort Bragg and then down 101 home.
