John telling Josh, James and me (behind camera) "My explorer is kicking azz, what happened to you guys, just look at this slip"?

We had an unusually bad night in the first round and sadly recieved no happy faces, but in the time trials we all beat up on the other cars and I bagged a WRX.

I enjoyed meeting everyone and talking z's. Maybe we can do it again and I know that we can make a better show of it.

I had a great time!

Starmans friend took some movies, but I was racing the same time as everyone else, so couldn't take any pics. It was really hot out there in the beginning. Our times kept getting better as it cooled down to 87. Still too hot, but it was fun.

Yeah... it was a lot of fun. When I was initially lined up, I thought I was gonna have to face the STI but ended up racing against a WRX. Whooped him. Got by on the first round then in the second round, got whooped by a civic only by .18

My fastest time was only 14.528. I sucked !

Well you were the only one to get into the second round. Josh had said everyone lost in the first round. We were up by the starting line.

If I remember correctly, you were getting faster each run. It was your first time out and it is a lot different than on the street, I think you did fine. I would not say you were whooped, you probably had to give him 5 minutes head start. That is what happened to me, just not enough time ot run him down and he was right on his dial in and I was a little off.

Still a good night!

I had fun too. Although both my launches were horrible, couldn't get first gear to hook up... I think I was trying to hard. Just peeled all the way through first. Ran two 14.9s
It's intimitating on that starting line for the first times! On the street, I could pull great launches when I was practicing. Just gotta work on it!

Anyway, my friend Farid did get some movies of everyone, and he's gonna bring over his camera this weekend and I'll see if I can convert the movies into something I can share over the net.

Dragging was fun, although I think I'd like road track racing better. Gotta sign up for one of those driving schools.... BTW, nice meeting you guys, let's do it again sometime!

Yes, it quite different than on the street.

My goal is to lay down about 3 13's hopefully 13.7-8. If I ever do that I will put on some sway bars and do solo I and II. If I don't hit it by the end of the drag season this year (Nov) I'm still going to do some cone dodging. I had done a lot of that in the past along with T/D rallyes, which for me became more of a WOT as much as posssible event.

Did a little driving school a few months ago to get back in the groove. Seems to be just as I remembered it, other than the instructer didn't like a couple of my lines. "you are taking motorcycle lines in those turns". He was a good instructor and we came to an agreement.

That was very nice of Farid to take those video's.
I saw one of me...sorta......it was too bright out to see well. I think it was one were I blew away that T/T Callaway Corvette j/k

Thanks for coming up!

I'm assuming the better times where with hot tires?? One of those VW Beatles turned a 2.007 60' when I raced him and I didn't really catch him until the 1/8 mile mark, then I flew by him. That was the guy with the helmet and the supercharger. You beat him first.

Not suppposed to look any tree but your own.
