So...leader of the pack, do we have a route planned yet? Even though there are only 5 of us if we were to go through SF on
either Rte 1, 19th St. or "101" we could easily get split up by all the lights. Dan had previously suggested we head in via the East Bay (101 - 580 - 880 -92). It's round-about but non-stop.

Also the 10am meet at Starbucks may be a little late unless we actually leave then and not have to wait around for people to get their coffee. Only a few people are ever on time. The trip is about 2 hours.

I hope you're not asking me this... I agreed to pretend be the leader for the 707 Z's but I am not pretending to be in charge of which way we go. I was going to try to pawn that job off onto Dan.

We can make Starbucks earlier, maybe we should because BlackZ is coming from Napa. 9:30 just in case?

9:30 sounds good enough to me... the more time for the coffee to kick in, the better

As far as the route ... it really doesn't matter to me. We could do the straight shot down 19th, but as Bill mentioned, the stoplights might kill us.

Now that there are more of us ... it might not be such a bad idea to route around the bay, though it might take a lil longer.

Do you think 101 > 580 > 880 to the 92 bridge (San Mateo Bridge) would be the best way?

I think we need to further clarify which Starbucks this is, that we are meeting at in RP.

There is one by Safeway on one side of the Expy, and another on the other side by Target. The addresses are:

Are either of the two correct? or is it secret answer #3 that we don't know about?

 

Secret answer # 3!! ... we're meeting at the one on Expressway because it's way more accomidating- more parking and easier to find.

From 101 South bound: Exit RP Expressway. Make a right onto EXPWY. Go straight one full block. Starbucks is on the left hand side (you make a left at Labath to get into the parking lot)... can't miss it- it has a drive thru.

From 101 North bound: Exit RP Expressway. Make a left onto EXPWY. Go over the overpass. Starbucks is a block up on the left.

I used to commute to Stonestown from Corte Madera. This is a lot more scenic, check it out!
Cross the GGB in the rt lane, exit at the first exit after the toll booth, I think it is Merchant Rd, it meets up with Lincoln, great ocean views and the GGB behind you. Stay on Lincoln until it intersects 25th Ave, turn left on 25th.
Your choices turn rt on Fulton, head west until you reach the Great Highway, turn left. Great Hwy intersects Skyline and rejoins the freeway down near Serramonte Shopping center.

Or head into the GG Park, turn rt onto Traverse Dr, rt onto MLK Jr Dr and then left onto Sunset, lights allow for a 35mph cruise! Follow Sunset to Lake Merced Blvd, past SFSU and left onto Brotherhood Way, back onto the freeway.
