I have never been there, but I have heard that it is based on how many cars are there. If there are not a lot you can do many many runs. Maybe they mean you are guaranteed 3 runs on a busy day. Should someone call?

I just called and got an answering machine. No real info and no option to talk to a real person. I guess I will try again later.

Yes, you should come on up. Tell the VP I will take a picture of him next to my Z for a very modest fee which I will pass on to the Home for Unwed Mothers.

If they are leaving from San Jose at 7:30, it will take them about 1 hour to get to Walnut Creek. Shouldn't we push back the east bay meet point to 8:30?

It doesn't take me an hour. Anyway... 8:15 or 8:30, big difference... just be there.

scubasteve - you only need a helmet if you plan on running 13's or lower. At least that is the standard at some other tracks. I wouldn't go out and buy a helmet just for this event.

You only need a helmet if you think you are going to be faster than 14 seconds in the quarter. Looking at your mods that is a possiblity. If you haven't drag raced on a strip before then you might not. You can use mine if you don't mind flames and a propeller on the top.

I think I am going to go out tonight and practice my starts on some desolite road. I feel comfortable with shifting, but the starting while revving at 2k I have never done. I zip around town a bit, just not officially. I'm sure that you will have some great advice. I should probably invest in a helmet with 3 track events coming up that I am hopefully attending. I don't know if my SAFC will be ready, but I don't have a logger so it would be pointless to try and tune it there.

It is a lot easier to launch on the street than it is at the strip.(that's what makes it fun!) see you there. Walt

I wish I had thought of taking my seats, owners manual, spare, tools etc. out I think I might have done better.

Had a great time with the Z guys and Donna the queen of burnouts. Donna could easily win a NOPI burnout contest!!!

Very happy with my last run of 13.903...almost a 13.8. Thanks Lou for the diff swap.
