I didn't see it, you have to get the explaination from Lou, but he only turned a 20 second run............but that is pretty amazing given what happened. I think he won the race too
Maybe because scubasteve said "holy $hit!!!!"

Hey, after what I saw, I tailed you down the track in MY lane for a reason!!!! Being my first drag run ever, I don't think I will ever forget it. People don't usually drift at the dragstrip, but hey, it was fun to watch. Sure made Lou famous for a while. People kept coming up and asking who the driver of the blue Z was. Funny thing is they were all impressed with Lou's spectacular recovery. I don't think I could have done it myself. Three mid track drifting 360's would make me puke, but he managed to point toward the end of track when he was done playing and still pulled a 19 sec run. I was forced to follow with a 20 sec run

 

I knew somebody had a 20 sec. run.

And to think I wanted to race him for his first race.
I knew he would lose traction, but that was excessive, great recovery! I didn't want to look at his car seat afterward though.

 

I am just happy everyone came out safe. And their cars too.

Yeah, that could have been ugly. I guess the sequence of events happened for a reason. Good thing you are much quicker than I am!!! Now I understand the reason for helmets!!!

 

Ooooops! I didn't have mine on when I ran that 13, I was so annoyed about putting it on and off so many times and just sitting there, I said to myself "screw it I'm not sitting up on the front row for 45 minutes with it on again".

I will wear it faithfully from now on, but most places you actually know when you are going to run.
