Z Dayz last year was my first and I had a great time. Even my wife had fun. we are going back this year too, so I thought I'd get a thread started to see who is going this year. OZOC can represent 700 miles away.

It is held at Fontana Village Resort. www.fontanavillage.com There are several types of cabins and a lodge (hotel) too. AND the Tail of the Dragon is 15 minutes away.

I plan to call and reserve a room in the lodge in a week or so. I'm going to ask if I can get a block of rooms close to each other post up whether you want a lodge room or a cabin. Some of you guys may want to get together and share a cabin, which is cheaper.

They will let us lowly G's come... YEAH!

Sean, are you "reserving" several rooms in the lodge or do I need to do that individually? My guess is the latter but I want to be sure. Thanks for taking the lead on this.......can't wait.

Hey Ron Refer to this: I took the previlge of calling katie and she might be able to get everyone a 10% discount even if your not a AAA member. I posted this over on driver to. Let me know if you have anyquestions.

Hey guys just talked to katie and she said she can only get a 10% discount off the 100 bucks so it might not be worth it. All you have to be is a AAA member and call it in. The group rate is the same price as listed ont he website but they would block off the rooms so we would be next to each other. The only thing is to block off the rooms you have to put a 300 dollar deposit down and everyroom has to stay at least one night and the deposit has to be given two weeks in advance. This is based off availability to.

If any wants to call AAA and ask any other questions about the discount just call 407.444.4240 ext 2232 and ask for heather. or call katie(my wife) at ext 2227


or you can call the hotel and just tell them you are an AAA member. The Number for the hotel is 1.800. 849.2258, ask for Debbie Rich or Tony Christ

Its a possibility that if we go through AAA as a group that we all might be able to get the 10% discount even if some people are not AAA members depending on how strict the hotel is with their policy.

Thats all the info i could figure now its up to us if we want to take advantage of the discount.

Well the best way to do it so that everyone gets the Discount rate is to call AAA and have AAA book everything for you otherwise the hotel might make you show all your AAA cards to get the discount so if Gilley has a AAA membership yeah have him do it. Sean you can call kate anytime. Sorry if its a little confusing


from the way katie explained it that there might be a chance the hotel will accept the AAA discount for everyone if we book through AAA eventhough everyone in the group is not an AAA member.

The 300 is just a deposit maybe one of the clubs can pay for the deposit and then at the end get it back. That way no one has to pay out 300 bucks for everyone.

Ron, I'll call Kate and get the straight scoop. I don't have a problem putting deposits down on a few rooms for definites if it is refundable. It would be nice to be close to each other.
