Originally I was going to buy on oahu, but after a year or so i will be moving to guam, so it looks like i am renting. Anyone know any good places, or rather any places to avoid. I need to have at least a small yard for my dog, and looking for 2 bedrooms. Also, anyone know any hotels that allow dogs? I will need a hotel for a few days until i get a place.

Finding a place to rent when you have pets is very difficult here on Oahu. I know that the Hawaiian Humane Society has a bulletin board where landlords can list homes/apartments for rent that allow pets. If you're in the military, they allow pets in military housing. As for hotels that allow pets, you may want to do a search on the internet and check for facilities that allow pets. Have your dogs already gone through the pre-quarantine procedures? If not, you might want to get it done before you arrive. Having your pets stay at the state quarantine facility can be a little hard on your pets.

yep already did all the prequarintine stuff, so he should be able to be realeased at the airport. I thought about military housing, but i think i would rather stay in the kailua area.

Check out hawaiianhumane.org

They have an online listing of pet-friendly homes that are available for rent. Look in the "Windward" section since you want to live in Kailua.
