$1900 huh? is that from sonics? sounds around the right range here I guess. I think hypers told me they charge around 2k for the greddy install and around 1k for the TN install.

Droping the car off this morning. I told them to tune for 420RWP. Gonna send out for a TS reflash (timing, Rev limit 7100, speed limiter removed, adjusted for 8-8.5 psi) With reflash its gonna be $2400-$2500.

This is gonna be the longest 5 days ever.

SO when the car comes out this thread goes away.

Between my first and second threads these have been damn long 7 months of Semi continious posting. I'm not gonna know what to do with my self after this... Im lieing, I do know... DRIVE!!

Gonna start my install soon too, my Dad and I finished our junker car in our garage and moved it out, and the G35 going to move in and be up on stands for a few days. LMK how it goes, either or...I'll go ahead and check up on the progress for you and visit their shop...starting tonight

Angry

So yeah 1 day in the shop and troubles. Aparently some of the pivot finger were broke on the pressure plate. Yeah SUCK @SS!...

Needless to say I'm forced to get a clutch cover, maybe clutch plate and hopefuly not the fly wheel. Gonna contact JWT on monday and talk to them about warranty issue's. Looks like the part may be defective. Gonna get pics tomorrow.

If I need to get a new clutch plat as well as the pressure plate I may go with a 1300-1500 KG 6 puck setup until I get the engine in.

A couple of things postponed the delivery date. A guy that was helping me put a wrong bolt in the O2 sensor harness that holds the 2nd set on. It was a wrong pitch and 1/2 inch too long.. Yeah he owes me $50. he cross threaded the hole and punched through the housing. Only caused a leak when the bolt was taken out.

They ad to get it tapped and resleeved. I guess a good thing though. I have a drain bolt now for the tranny fluid.

After talking with Jim Wolf's Ben, the tb thing is normal.. Its a nonfunctioning peice.... Yeah but it chewed up the cover and fly wheel. I guess I'll reuse the JWT and save up for the twin or tripple plate clutch.

They did a race day today and the mechanic forgot to factor that in so the delivery date is Monday or Tuesday afternoon.

more waiting.

OK barring any difficulties, tomorrow my ECU gets back from technosquare and the fine tuning is worked out I should be the proud owner of a 400+WHP twin turbo blue beast. I was told I should get good results because of the Kenetix intake, test pipes, and the true duals. Rev limit raised to 7100rpm, speed limit taken off, tuned for 8.5 psi. The the light flywheel makes her rev quicker and as a welcome home present I ordered lightened pullies (not UR, OEM size)
So after I get back from my trip those are going on and wooot ppssstttt wwoooooott GRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAA. I'll be charging 5 bucks a ride . gotta get money to offset the build some how.

Probably gonna do the Idle stabalizing mod too. Oh yeah and the catch can. DAMN this is like quitting smoking. I say I'm done, More go on, I say I'm done again, more goes on again..... Smoking was cheaper !

I'll let every one know how she goes.

So here's the low down.....

2 parts missing. 1 Hose adapter, and they sent the wrong windshield wiper container.

Thats the bad news.

Good news First they get to learn EU better since its diffrent than the regular emanage. Second they get to take there time with the dyno tune, get a better power result. Last, my car had so many diffrent things on it that they are wanting to use it in an auto shootout/ show to display what they can do as a shop. So I told them the only way I would let them do that is if they took pictures.

I also get a FREE carwash. HELL YEAH FREE CARWASH!!!! Makes it all worth it.

With tune, reflash, better hardware and misc. little things the install will come to about $2900. Hell beats hypersports estamate of $3000 with out a reflash. Total cost to-date with all the parts, shipping, and installation comes to $18,900. Better than I expected at this stage. This puts me about 2/3 the way to go. Just the big stuff (see previos post on smoking) Engine, Twin carbon clutch, Lv 5 half shafts, Brake upgrade. After that its just little things leather seats, clean up interior, speaker upgrade, and maybe functional(better air flow) hood and body kit (AMUSE body & TS Carbon Hood)

So yeah thats the grand plan, but for now the car is being stored at sonics until I get back. DAMN MISSING PARTS!!!!

sweet, I knew they'd do a good job overall. I was thinking about just having them install my kit as well, but I wanted the whole experience. Still waiting on some parts...so I'm going through your old ordeals.

Its good that I'm leaving town. I would go FVKING NUTS waiting for the parts to come in and the dyno and tune done. At least I get extra money in my pocket while I wait.

I feal your pain with the wait. Good luck. We need to get together some time. That hooters thing was a flop, at least on the Z end. I called up all the people I knew ( like all 3 of them) and we at wings, drank, and played pool at a little dive bar down town. So much fun, hell even got a phone number from one of the hooters waitresses.

Sorry leaving tonight for a month. So when I get back there is not going to be a place to drive the car hard. So I guess that I will be content with a few sprints on the highway.

Hey Mike, checked out your car on Saterday. Looks friggen aggressive with the front mount. Your car is almost done...they're going to tune it this coming Saterday at Hypersports.
