Sweet, glad you got to check it out. They seem to be taking an easy go at it but hey, I'm in no rush to get it out now that I'm gone. Yeah if I was there and it took this long I would be pissed.

Not to any one else that uses any shop period. Get the build time in a writen estimate. You have more of a ground to stand on if push comes to shove.

636 was that Saturday the 25th or Saturday the 18th? I've been out of it for a while but I could have sworn they were going to have my car finished and tuned by the 25th for their show and shoot out thing they were doing. Did you get to check out the engine bay at all? I'm just realy currious because thats the only part that I havnt realy seen.

By any account I'mm be back in 2 weeks. Gonna driver her arround and see what I can do to her. Kinda like if your (figurative speak) got plastic sugery, boob job, and Lipo. Once she's all put together you just have to take her out hard to she if she preforms better than before. You know if the money was worth it.

I've noticed a trend though. Guys on the Island going FI and then disapearing from the board. Like Redline....
Where did he go off too. I think its a Hawaii Ricer consperacey. They dont want these bad *** cars on the street so they wait for some one to commit and then they take em out! They cant wear there Fukinfast shirt and drive there Honda Civic DX with the coffe can muffler and chrome sticker gas door over lay that says TYPE Z on it, with FI Z/G's proweling arround. I just pray I dont fall into the hands of this twisted Axis of Ricer Evil

It was this Saterday the 25th at the StreetCar Shootout - Probably the one you're talking about; that should note that the total install is done. Didnt get to check out the engine...I was kind of in a rush too. because I had to cleanup after out event and kick some people out of the track.

I hear that. idunno what happened to redline or the Z club instigator. I'm guessing redline moved or is just having too much fun with his Z. either way, be careful out there, especially with all the race happy kids with no track to go to anymore.

and speaking of tuner shops, I wonder how many will survive after the track closure. I wonder if you would've gotten a way cheaper install cost a few months down the road.

I kinda questioned that too. But I'm sure most of them will be able to keep on their feet. From what I see, only a small percentage of their customers actually race on the track...the rest are enthusiasts that havent raced their cars (on the track at least). Specialty shops like BSM will likely see a drop in their sales because they cater mostly to the domestic cars...and the genre of domestic racers are usually "track only guys"...so you kinda see where they could end up. Shops like MunkyWurks, Sonics, and Hypersports cater to all sorts, both track and street guys. And since Drifting is such a big boom in Hawaii's street scene...you'll be seeing a lot of street drifting IF the track closes it's doors for good.

Track side news? none yet...and we havent moved our formula race cars yet. When we start moving...then it's for sure the track is closed for business.

It's good to know the major build was done but it concerns me that they might have driven it there not properly tuned. I am pretty sure they didnt but the thought ran through my head. Hopefuly every thing will be complete when I get back.

I hope so too. If I have time, I'll go see what Seth and George are up too.
