Default Turbo Install on Oahu?

Hey, I'm moving from Boston to Oahu in October. I have intentions on a Turbo Netics STK install right after I arrive.

Any suggestions on retailers, and install/repair shops?

Thanks
Andy

I'd say vakamon or hypersports.

screw vakamon.
go to sonic motorsports. they've installed a PE twin turbo on a continually competing G35...still running. ran right the 1st time out...can't say the same for vakamon. A current G35Driver member had their TN kit installed by them...numerous problems are now occuring...installer related problems.

If you want really good workmanship with people who really know their Nissans...hook it up with Niztech. IMO, those guys are **** about their work...and that's a good thing.

I'm not all too sure. I'm only in contact with Robert and Elliot because they're the competing side of the Sonic's staff.

I guess I take back both my suggestions if you plan on going with the TN ST. I was talking to some of the guys at hypers yesterday and they seemed to know their stuff concerning the greddy TT, and they've done a few installs however they didn't seem to know anything about the TN kit. they were trying to give me guesses as to what type of ECU it came with. speaking of TN kits, hows your running redline350zz? haven't seen you on here in a while...

The TN kit is easy enough to DIY. The only section that you'd have to take the car to a shop to is changing out the A/C line - just about any A/C specialty shop can take care of that. The kit comes will all the necessary taps...I think the only thing you'd need to buy is RTV sealant and some small stuff that you can get from NAPA. You could one-up on the rubber lines and get steel braided ones from hydra-air.

yeah, redline350zz did his own install but he hasn't been on here much since then. I def wouldn't want to try to tackle an install like that w/o a 2 pt lift and someone who's done it before.

yah, a dual post lift would be really helpfull. thankfully i take the car to my dad's shop to do the installs. I purchased the tn kit a while back...im in no rush to install it. I kinda got the install manual memorized though still attaining some odds and ends to make the install a little easier and i'm going to send the turbo's exhaust housing and exhaust plumbing to the mainland to swain tech for ceramic coatings. I've already did the a/c line at the shop, so i'm just trying to save money here and there for everything else. hopefully by summer I'll have the kit in.

Dunno yet, I was thinking of just spending the money and going to Justin Izumi and going with his products (Autronic - I think) and getting the tuning done at Endless as soon as they get their dyno up and running.

Hey andy my sister and her husband live up in plymouth, mas. He grew up there. Beautiful area.

I'm going with Sonic, they seem pretty smart about the TT installs. But I dont know whoes gonna tune. My suggestion is talk arround to customers and staff. If the staff seem like they dont know a torque wrench from there @ss or are realy disintrested pass 'em up. Customers are one of your better guages of shops. If they are happy and have not had problems with the cars then that shop may be your best bet. The key thing is get it done. The more FI the better.

I've come to terms with having another install my Greddy TT as soon as I get back. I'm in Tiapei (spelling sucks) waiting for my flight home. Hopefuly my waste gate relocation set up has come in. Still debating on whether to have them throw the cams and springs in too, since every thing will be clear for that. I'm stopping at 410 -420 for now until I get my new block built. I think its gonna be mean sounding....

I got the true dual with test pipes (essentialy open pipes), the soon to be twins, Greddy Type RS BOV, and the atmospheric dumping waste gates. I can see it now my cars gonna **** off alot of people. Its gonna growl to get your attention and wistle as I shift and speed away. Getting all excited just thinking about it.

Soon my months of patients are going to pay off. Any cooincidence Zen begins with a Z. I think not. Taoist could see the future and the road to enlightenment begins with a Z.

I'll let you know how Sonic treats me.

I'm gonna be a cheap @ss and do thermal wraps and Turbo boots. I'm ready for the install to start.
