Well I just received a PM from Turbonetics and it looks like I will be able to get a water-cooled Turbo. This is awesome and if all goes well I can put my kit back on soon.

I'm not sure on all the details but people with issues are having them fixed first.

Yea the turbo stays hot long after cooldown. If you don't use the best oil it can coke on the internals. A water-cooled option will remove a lot of heat so it shouldn't be as much of an issue. This is one of those times that the best oil should be used.

Most of the guys I know who've used turbonetics turbos are fine with them, never had problems. A common upgrade for TurboBuick owners was the 60-1 turbo as well. But most of us (when I had my t-type) also made use of larger oil coolers as well, which was routed before the turbo. I'm thinking that it might be a better idea to just route an oil cooler before the turbo like my old car. The oil pressure would be static and shouldnt have much of a pressure loss. Gonna bring this up in the TN thread as well.
I'd like to know of any long term issue the wet bearing will have.
