how many of you run your front license plate? Does HPD really look out for this stuff? I'm gonna have body work done soon and debating to run without the plate and patch up the holes the dealer drilled.

I never ran mine from the start. I live in Ewa Beach, and i drive by police all the time, and they never bothered me. I also have a body kit, 5% tint, and exhaust. I guess it depends on how you drive, and if the officer is in a good mood.
**And don't drive through waikiki without your license plate! Rookies are usually placed there for their first beats, and they can't wait to give tickets and abuse their power.

So this is how i've been running my Z since last year. OH, and don't leave your plate by your front window either. It just makes it more noticable that your plate isn't on your bumper. It's better to run none, than to show it through your windshield..

I've got one of those stillen plates that fit in the tow hook mount, what year do you have? I just fabbed one up my self out of angled aluminium.

if you're willing to run the risk then its worth it. Just make sure you don't go waikiki or town side. They pulled me over cuz of the plate and got me for a lot of other stuff too. If I had my plate on I wouldn't have gotten pulled over in the first place.

The same thing happened to my friend..he got like 8 tickets or something for all kinds of stuff. They even took his recon away, they made him take off the sticker too.

 

If you want it you can have it. Its the stillen plate mount for the Z.

I did a DIY on the angled aluminum peice a while back. Step by step and it cost he about $4.00 with parts and fastners.
EDIT: the thread pitch may be diffrent on the 06. you can try it out and see.

 

I have mine, but the dealer drilled the front before I bought the car. Personally I'd run the plate even if it wasn't already drilled.

Depending where you drive you might get pulled over.
