Thanks for the link but was kinda hoping for the sale to be local. I know shipping is going to be a biotch. but if worst comes to worst it will be the only thing i can do as for rebuilding i dont think it will be worth the parts and labor might as well just replace the damn thing. I might as well try and look in to that anyways. 03 trannys ftw....

Manuals are supposed to be easy to rebuilt if you can find parts I hear. Otherwise ebay is all I can say.

Hey man if your looking at rebuilding it GTM (I think) has a set of dog tooth gears that will hold WAY more abuse than you can give them.

Look into them. If you can throw an engine together you definately can throw a tranny together.

My transmission came back from the grave. I misdiagnosted the transmission. Well that will happen when you dont get enough sleep. The trans would not go into any gear and grind in higher rpms. I thought i blew my syncros cause it was grinding like a mo fo. Well my dad got around to it and found that the throw out bearing is doing something funky. We still have to fix it. just to lazy to work on our own cars i guess. Its going to come out tommorrow so we can actually see what happened.
