Default Where to store a Z?

I'm leaving to basic training and tech school for air force reserves for about 7-8 months. Is there anyplace where I can store my car in a secured place by paying monthly? something like self-storage or hawaii storage for cars.

i forget what the name of the company is, i think its hawaii self storage. its the one in mapunapuna. anyway I know they rent out parking spaces in their secure lot for people to store cars for long periods of time. might be worth checking out.

Check with Hickman but I know the US Navy has deployment parking lots where those making a WestPac can park their cars for safe(r) keeping. The ones my ship used were down at the end of the runway at Alameda NAS CA or miles off base up near Everett WA. With all those cars parked for so long they do attract their fair share of military police and thieves.

PS: Make sure you talk to your insurance company to let them know that the car is going to be in-op for your deployment and that you want to drop your coverage down to just cover theft/comprehensive. This can save you half or more on your policy. I don't know about HI but you can also get your license plate renewal suspended if it expires during the deployment with a certification of non-operability. If it's not on the road you don't need a current license (in CA and WA from my experence).

Be safe.
