But being that it's a Hawaii boy, and I hate to see you get slammed on this forum and leave, I'd rather find ways to assist you in your stay here, and ensure your experience on the forums get better, here's a couple of suggestions:

#1. If you start a thread asking what people think of your car, expect positive AND negative. Some people may be polite when they don't find your car appealing, and may even offer some constructive critisizm. Others, may be pretty harsh, and immature about how they express they're ability to relate to it. If you've read ANY of the threads here, you'll know the latter is more common then anything else. Take it with a grain of sand, be polite, and move on from the experience. They've given you what you asked for, (answered your question in their own way) and to rebuke them for answering the question you publicly put forth looks bad. Hence, the flaming. However, if you take everything with a grain of sand, it wont matter how many like your car or not, more people on the forums will respect you. That seems to be what this thread is boiling down to. Respect, or a lack thereof, on both sides. Constructive arguments on both sides seem to generally work as well.

#2: If you're not willing to discuss on the thread what your business is, who you are, etc etc, then it is also impolite to place someone's full name on there as well. Everyone knows me, pretty much. Hell most people that know me, I don't even know. But it feels rather invasive that you were cautious about your I.D. online, yet willing to place mine there. Not the most friendly of gestures.

#3: Never discuss your income online. Dude, it's a small island man. It's not about your cars, your businesses, but how much you're worth. And with it all on a public forum, any old joe can pass that info to anyone willing to perp into your life, for a cut of the profit. Kidnappings and ransoms aren't uncommon in Hawaii - you just don't hear about it as much. And it don't matter what type of security you have to those who have experience with said devices and services. That being said, putting this info up can definitely create more questions, some of them highly invasive and insensitive. You've built a large degree of curiosity, and that curiosity is a hole this whole thread is in. Reffering to #2, why would I ask where you work? Because you've publicly placed info on this forum building enough curiosity for me to ask. But being that you asked me to keep it between us, and PM'ed me, I did. And I will.

Please don't take this as slamming you - if anything I hope you stay. It's always good to have more people, especially local boys, to provide input and build the community - even if it's online. But I hope this helps to augment your future experience here in a positive way.

Hey, good point. I know this post is getting old fast, but I just had to comment on this... "Kidnappings and ransoms aren't uncommon in Hawaii??" I'm guessing you meant they weren't "common," right? Because you make it sound like we're living in the southern Philippines, or something, haha. Just joking about the southern Philippines part, but really, I respect your comments, but when was the last time there was a kidnapping here where it involved a ransom?

Whatever kidnappings that DO occur, on Oahu at least, usually have something to do with sex assault, and in any case, if a report were to be made for a kidnapping crime, the police list those types of incidents as highlights of information to be passed on to other police officers and news media as well, as the media will call various poice stations daily to ask what highlights there are for the day, at which point we WOULD hear about it, on the news.

The only way we WOULDN'T hear about it is if possibly a report wasn't made, or if the information released would possibly hurt the person who was kidnapped, which would make me wonder how YOU would know about it happening a lot if we "just don't hear about it much."

Sorry, I had to make those comments and I hope I didn't make you feel offended in any way. I absolutely agree with what you mentioned about not posting personal information in a public forum, which should be common practice for all of us in here. But I just had to clear up the part of the kidnappings and ransoms thing, because that part IMO is totally exaggerated.

Anyway, stay safe everyone and let's enjoy our own Z's. I enjoy mine every day. Take care.

NOt at all, you're pretty damn accurate.

I had written this whole thing about organized crime, the diversity of organizations here, how low and how high the acts go, and the rarity of how often you hear about these situations, but I think I'll leave that off of here.

I know guys however, who'd read this, take it all seriously, and lean on him just because he's made himself easy to blackmail. Well, judging with the word on the block, both threads, and his photos in photobucket.

To sum this whole thread up though, there's merit and wisdom in being humble, agree? having a prescence on the internet makes you a target as it is, let alone hanging your ego out.

No offense whatsoever. Argument is debate, not fighting. No point being in a forum if people didn't have opposing views. How boring would it be otherwise?

btw, how do you like your LSD?

Cool, I agree with you totally about that. I know I find amusement in reading a lot of these forums, haha.

I like the Nismo LSD a lot, except for the loud, notchy ratcheting sound it makes at slow, tight corners. On somewhat longer than normal drives, it tends to go away, but the performance remains. It's funny, the car seems to go around corners at high speed better than at low speed. I read another post about Nismo LSD's and someone mentioned they used different differential oil and the notchiness and clunking sounds mostly went away. When I'm up to change the oil, I'll give it a try.

I'm saving up for the Berks HFC's first, then probably the Greddy Evo TT exhaust, but it's a slow work in progress.
