Can anyone recommend?
You can have skins made for them that replace (not cover) your existing seat cloth. They do leather, sueade (sp), and even carbon in some cases. Look on the net for a few of the sites. Its cheaper and more cost efective. You can also have custome embroirdery of just about any thing including pictures. All you need is a JPEG file.

Scroll down to the custom seat sections there are several links there.
If you go custom on island, you will loose the use of the SRS side impact airbags since they more than likely dont know how to make it to keep them. But most of these sites have options for both side airbags and no side airbags.
If you look closely at the seat covers you have on the car now, they are fairly easy to replace. Just Zippers. Its as simple as, unplugging the battery (for the air bag unplugging), unbolt the seats, disconnect the airbag sensor, unzip the covers. To install you spray the foam lightly with silicone lubricant made for seat covers, turn inside out your new covers, and just roll them on like you were putting a condom on an elephant. Smooth out the gaps and your done. Its only a couple of hour job.
EDIT: Some seats need hog rings and hog ring pliers to keep the cover material taught. They will tell you what you need for install on each site.

I was just wondering because the Katskinz or Leatherseats.com will be a cheaper and better route for custom seats than local. Plus you keep the safety features.
If I keep my factory seats I would go that route. Im scouting a set of NRG carbon seats from Ward
