July 4, 2008: OMAC Pearl Harbor Show and Shine

Well since alot of people were saying they wanted to do this i messaged one of the guys from OMAC about reserving a place for us. The thing is if we are going to do this if you say you are going to come you NEED to show up. There is a 100 car limit and if we have people that dont show up it makes us and ME look bad. Its not a MEET. This is not one of those things were you can just say your going to show up and somehow later make an excuse for not being there. This is a big event and we need people who are going to actually show up. Now since I got through the warning part lets get to the good stuff.

This event in my opinion is a good event for us to show up to with a good cause. Its small and good for some of us with cars that arent say JOE show quality cars . With that in mind hopefully we can get a good bunch of cars out there. At the same time we cant be rolling stock though. As mentioned in the other thread the registration fee is $10 which is refunded as a food voucher. So its pretty much a free event. If we are going to do this id like to see at least 5 cars that will come out. The more the merrier though. If we do this ill probably be able to provide a tent and chairs for us but we might need a truck/SUV or something to get all the stuff down there. But well worry about that later. So lets get a roll call going and well go from there.

I am registered, as well as Joe, Jeff, and Jorge. So you can add our names to that list. And we should have a meet up before the show and all roll in as "Oahu Z".

 

"JOE QUALITY" don't know exactly what that means and If I should say thanks, trip or what? I'm just out havin fun with a daily driven Z....I dont think my Z is better than anybody elses...its all about having fun. Everyboby has thier personal likes and dislikes, to me a Z is a Z, modded or not... we all family. Glad to see we doing this. In my opinon I think all Zs, stock or modded should roll and show together. People could see before and after transformations. Anyways, belive it or not most people don't want to mod a Z, but just keep it the way it originally is...A SeZy stock car

I was going to buy a small tent anyway on my own. Not just for the show but for family future events and outings. I have the SUV we can use to transport. I suggest bringing your own foldup chairs and coolers...we can put them the truck and setup or just bring them in yourselves. But I got the truck covered....just need a pass for it now.

 

na, just hold it I will grab it from you when we roll out..... I wanna make sure I have it, and not risk it gettin lost or misplaced.....Thanks again Joe

apparently we can't go to the show unless we enter our cars or are in the military, so I guess I won't be coming to out to support OahuZ, sorry guys!

 

you can come to the show. the rules for getting on post will be relaxed because its 4th of july. you just have to make sure that your car has all documentation(registration,safety,etc.) and a drivers license and you can come to the show.

 

Anyone can enter the bases with proper documentation (like jay said) just go to the main gate pass office and get a one day pass by showing updated license, Insurance, no safety etc.. That is all the bases. I found that alot of locals don't enter the bases because the cars don't have insurance, safety stickers, no license...you name it. If you legit with the paperwork then come out. Epecially 4th of July...as Jay said, its gonna be even more lax because of the fireworks...the nonmilitary community usually come on post for that event.

 

so are we all plannin on meetin up and rollin in together? if so what time we meeting up? Tryin to figure things out.........cause I arrive on the 3rd and got to pick up my z and then wash it and make it look presentable lol
