Default Do you change it?

I am torn...As I start to mod out my Z, where should I stop. The Nismos are numbered...if I do any body mods (i.e. paint/ graphics) will it lower the value of the car? I love the way the Nismos look, but I would like to personalize it. What should i do?

why are you so concerned about "lowering the value" of your car? nismo or not, the dollar value of the car drops as soon as you drive it off the lot. sure, maybe, just maybe in 30 years a pristine, low mileage, untouched nismo might fetch a decent amount. i say do what you want to the car to make it more valuable to you.

i'd say if you wanted a z to personalize you should have gotten a normal z and not the nismo version. you might end up spending more if your gonna change out any body styling or wheels and such. but if u really wanna mod it out then do it. your cars value shouldn't matter as long as your happy with it.

Hey Fishbone, if you agree with nizm350 and feel that should have bought a stock Z instead of the Nizmo, I'll trade you my Stock Z for your Nizmo. Hahaha! Just a thought..LOL!

Mod it. I understand your intent by wanting to keep it original for value sake....but Nismo without boost and taking your car to the next level is a whole other world you'd be missin....but its your ride. Zgirl had a idea...lol

Dude.....I would MOD IT!!!! If you are so worried about the original parts, then just store them. No worries about the paint and all if it will make you happy to "personalize" it.

The vehicle is like an extension of yourself so...have at it. Though...just watch the vehicle laws in doing so. Just kidding you guys.

in my opinion if you like the look of the nismo you should keep the body and just do some other things like lights and wheels to personalize it. i think a nismo with some jdm tails and cincity headlights would look absolutely sick!

I know that I will be throwing a system into it. As far as graphics or paint, it will minimal. I have a graphic representing Fishbone that will be put on her.

you're right, i was harsh. i wouldn't change a vehicle that was marketed as a "special edition". why buy one and modify it when you could have bought another Z? It is intended to be a "special". It may or may not become a collector version (most likely NOT), but it's an odd question to me.

no disrespect.

none taken...Thanks.. Any mods will be modest..just enough to personalize it, and still have the ability to put it back to stock if necessary.
