Default Official "The New and Improved Oahu Z" Who's Down!?

First off Let me say if your going reply some bs, please take it elsewhere and don't bother. Me and Joe and others have been talking about really setting this thing off with Oahu Z.

Lets face it there are only a certain group of people that meet up on thursday nights to talk, kick it and have good times. Nothing more and nothing less. It became evident when other members entered into car shows and no one was there to offer support. I know we never really sat down and discussed what Oahu Z was so that is the point of this thread.

Definition of Oahu Z: A group of 350z enthusiasts that share a common interest and ideas that will offer support when called upon. Everyone will have respect towards one another.

This will be an official club with actual members. Just like anything else there will be dues that will go towards car shows, monthly outings (bbq), install days, shirts, stickers and whatever else we would come up with as a group.

You don't need a "car show" quality car to join. We will be doing Charity events such as can food drives, back to school supply, toys for tots or whatever of that nature.

So this is the beginning of the New Oahu Z with new shirts in the future.
So who's Down!?
I know Joe and I are in.

I'm down.

S**t that's right, I don't have a Z.

In all seriousness, I hope this works out. The only thing better than a massive G Cruise is a massive G/Z Cruise. Cheeeee.

i am down for the remainder of the time that i am here. and when i get back, i want to get really involved. Joe and I have had many conversations at the car shows we entered and I think we came up with alot of good ideas. i realize i can't get too involved because i leave for iraq next month,(but if we had a serious car club), that i could rely on to take care of my ride while i am gone, it would take alot of stress out of my life.

I have been skeptical about joining any type of car club here on the island after coming from Cali due to other members' ignorance, but after talking to a few of you, all you guys seem to be pretty supportive and respect the scene/each other. Your intentions as listed in this thread are right on, it is rare that you find that in any car club. I am down with you guys and look forward to meeting up with you this Thursday. Take it easy...

Kamu is really serious about this. We need to support him, for real and not just talk the talk, we gotta walk the walk. Most that have already responded, we knew you would....you guys were down from day one, you know who you are. Sorry, that we losin the most supportive members, Jay and Justin...to Iraq but hey family is family...we gonna set this off. As Kamu said, we've been to couple shows and no support. Even if one of the members show, all should be there to help clean, shine or do whatever it takes for that car to resprent us not the owner..its a colletive effort. His or her car should be treated like its yours....this is a collective thing, family thing, not an individual thing. OahuZ members should be just as proud of your car and treat it like our own and help out with whatever needed to make OahuZ shine. Like dwayne said, its no fun when you by yourself.

Thanks for the guys who did come out to the show and shine to holla at me. And those who didn't its all good. But I was alone with a OahuZ on my windshield and no members but me and my wife at myside.....huh? People asking me where was my crew, they felt bad and asked me come join their crew at their booth...cause we didnt have one. Thanks to dwayne and his crew for helping me put my hood on...if not then I would have did it myself since we didn't have anybody present.

Shirts, I seen kids, babies in strollers, wives wearing clubs T-shirts....a family thing! Dwaynes crew went from each of their cars as a group, cleaning, shining, etc. I did my **** by myself....then the wife asks me why I still wanna belong this so called OahuZ when there isn't one, which was evident by me being alone. A club is more than just a sticker on the windshield.

The 5 Jays when out to the 4th of July show....only five when almost 20 show'd up to pay money for T-shirts...we had a blast and made it a family thing. That is another example.

Past is the Past....let make it better and Set it off. Big K got my support...4sho!! Sombody please give Tony a shirt...he's still family and don't matter he doesn't have his Z...hes always supporting us regarless. Thanks bro.

I think this is awesome... I have not been on the island for very long, and from the time I first logged on here, I was welcomed, and encouarged to come out and hang out, without anyone even knowing who I was. I have seen some destinition between some of the guys on here, but when we meet up, it is always a good time. I am excited to be able to say that I am a part of this club. It is full of a great group of families, it is good that we are going to do this right! Im in!

I agree 100%.

Take our "club" for example. We're constantly doing **** together. We meet religiously every week... and it's not just for the cars. It's for the whole family thing. We hang out, talk story, eat together, etc. We're constantly getting together at my house for parties, helping each other with cars, etc. This is one of the reasons why we're not a full-on club. No dues, no presidents, etc. Just a family. We still don't even have a true club name... we just use Club808 since it's the name of the forum we're on (club808.net). WE're actually trying to come up with a name for ourselves now to kinda seperate from the forum name (even though it's pretty much our forum).

Flakers ain't gonna help your club out at all. Everyone's gotta be close. Those that don't support, don't show up, don't help out, etc. are only gonna bring you down and you shouldn't have any room for that. You should always support the people that are putting their cars out there for the name of the club. Whether it's at a show, a race, whatever.

From the start of OahuZ I've been hoping for you guys to get it going strong. Seems like you guys got the backing now.
