Was it a 50-50? I thought it was less vinegar?

Just did work on my wifes black BMW using mequiars rubbing compound and then polishing compound. Worked very well if you ask me. All by hand too, takes a little time though. Could be a little overkill if it's just spots though. Someone I know also mentioned lime a way and water mixed 2/3 water 1/3 lime a way.

if its on the paint, it depends if the your waterspots are etched in. If thats the case, chances are your only options is wetsanding. but even then it gets difficult, i never tried the vinegar method. but im sure it only works to a point. 3m rubbing compound is the best!! lol be sure to correct the paint with a haze remover after you use compound

Mine was really bad cuz of the damn sprinklers next to my stall but I had to spring for a nice porter cable 7424 buffer and a good polish like pinnacle xmt #2. That stuff get's ANYTHING out including swirl marks. Even cut through paint burn that these detailers did to my boss' 911 turbo.

For window water spots go to Long's and get A-1 waterspot remover in the car section. It's amazing on windows but DO NOT get that **** on your paint [even tho it says its paint safe, it's not, I tried ]
