if interested in covering a build let me know i should be starting the second week of march, well engine being sent for bore/hone and balance anyway ill be doing small stuff to prep it until i get the engine back. like bungs for the direct port meth and t1 AIT sensor, wrapping the exhuast componets, building the fire box for fuel swirl pot, meth tank and battery, ect. wont be too showy but will be monstrous for power, i truely intend to see what the 6765 will do at 30-32 lbs of boost =P

have everything i need about 22k in parts sitting in the closet im just still in afghanistan for a little bit longer lol.

im really excited im tempted to have the wife take pics of everything and start the build thread for everyone to drool over the parts. but since its still a few weeks away before the engine even goes off to machine work, plus im still waiting on my pistons and cams(cams where a custom order thing from kelford, doing something a bit different) i have resisted.

if you dont see it you will definatly hear it, had sasha build me a straight pipe exhaust when he sent me the kit. 3 inch stainless to in front of the axles then it splits into dual 3 inch exit, all vband clamp connections.

 

Jerry, I think this might be something interesting to cover...not sure how it would fit in the publication as they're focusing on Driver/Car profiles for each week, but it's worth a shot. I'll pass it by the editor.

When do you get back from Afghanistan? (thanks for your service, by the way).

i should be back in hawaii the very beginning of march so about two weeks rough estimate. i cant give exact dates though opsec and all. yah just let me know i know sometimes they put stuff in magazines like engine tech and such, or if not i can hit you up when its put togeather and dynoed

 

You'd be surprised how many cars that are on the cover of the big magazines don't run


I'm serious. I actually just worked on a photo shoot of a car that didn't even run lol. It's been in 1 mag already, and we shot it for another big magazine.

I really don't want that sort of ride...if it's not running, I'm probably not going to shoot it.

This is a local rag, and people know what's up as opposed to a national mag. Plus, I'm going performance over show queen as priority.

 

I've seen those cars pushed or towed into shows and such... first time was HellaFlush 2010. I remember jump starting this kid, at the Wendy's... and then I saw him in the show lol. Had to get jumped again too haha.

i just got back in hawaii so as soon as i get the pistons from z1 im sending the block to the machine shop. supposedly he is having family issues but said he would ship em friday. hopfully the cams wont take much longer after that

 

Funny you mention Gary...his ride was the first one we shot. Known Gary for a while now...good guy. Great drifter.
