Shafter is right next to the waikiki and such so its location is better for being around the main attractions of Oahu. Schofield is smack dab in the middle of the island, kinda depressing for some but i dont mind, been here 7 years and got several more to go! I'll c u around in the shafter area

^^^Actually Shafter is a fair number of miles from Waikiki. Shafter is closer to Honolulu Intl. Airport.

Schofield is up in central Oahu and next to Wheeler.

Both Schofield & Shafter are Army installations.

^ Shafter is mere minutes from Waiks (traffic dependant, of course).

I've heard the traffic is terrible in Hawaii! But the weather and scenery...ugh! I mean there could be worse places to be stuck in traffic lol

Been trying to get a lot of work done to my car since I heard I'm going there , pretty much everything I planned to do in the next cpl years I'm doing ASAP lol but sounds like when I get to Hawaii I'm gonna new a brake upgrade lol I always remember how horrible ppl drive there esp on H2 where they all go fast and then slam on there brakes lol gonna have to take some cruises to teach me some short cuts, my cousin lived there for 6 years and he talked about short cuts and they were never short cuts while we were driving lol

Especially if you live in the west. Live close to work cause driving from pearl to ewa would make you shoot yourself!

The short cut is to drive off peak rush hour. There are no longer any such things as short cuts.

Well just live near shafter. Currently I live in ewa only because I scored a great rental house and I hate being near where I work so I don't mind traffic and I always wake up early so it really just matters on preference and patience. The scene is strong but so is HPD and their multiple BS that you'll have to deal with. I'll see ya around shafter whenever u get here

Pulling over modified cars, mainly what they look for is how low u are or if you "appear" low then they'll pull u over. Most cases u get a no recon ticket which is $70 but they also have another ticket that is a mandatory court date if u fail a "officers safety inspection". If HPD deems ur vehicle is unsafe, it is towed at their discretion and u get a ticket either way. I've been pulled over NUMEROUS times in my Z just driving without breaking any laws and i've had to deal with numerous cases already. Luckily i've gotten thru most of them and i lost a couple here and there. Either way, its hard owning a modified car here in hawaii unless you buy yourself an exotic supercar.
